Rim research for my 1978 280Z
I went to Discount Tire today and ordered those Rewinds. They had to order them but I should be able to get those installed next week. My car is gonna look sweet. After I get that done, I’ll look to sell my old rims. Thanks!

Rim research for my 1978 280Z
Thanks everyone. Allow me to ask my mechanic on Monday exactly what my wheel setup is. I certainly don't want to order the wrong thing. Virto, I'll keep you updated. Do my current rims have a specific name or brand that you know of? It's pretty common to order these and have them shipped, right? I mean, the odds of finding them locally (in a small city) I would imagine are pretty slim?

Rim research for my 1978 280Z
Hello, I’m doing some research in order to get some new rims. • My current setup is: 4 lug, 15†X 8†• My current tires: 195/70R 14 What brand or company might you recommend the most? Can anyone tell me what kind of rims are on this car here (I like this style): Here’s a pic of my car right now… After I get the new rims on there do you think I can get any money for these old ones? Maybe 25 bucks each or is that too low? Big Thanks, Bart

some paint cracks... (how to fix?)
Hey folks... These cracks weren't there when I bought the car ((I'm pretty sure I'd remember seeing them if they were). Anyways, they're there now. Whats my best option for getting these fixed? Thanks

Updated pictures of my ride.
I think you were very wise and a bit lucky to get that deal, It's awesome. I'm curious, cuz I'll someday want to get a new engine put in my 280Z, how much putting an engine like that in my car would cost?

new and looking for my dream Z car
Thanks everyone. I won't touch the roof, then. I think it's the second. I can't remember, the owner filled my head with so much info, but yeah, I believe its the second. I don't know the exact name of this paint. Is there a way to find out?

new and looking for my dream Z car
Thanks for the advice. I bought a rust free 1978 280Z from a really nice guy in San Diego, CA. Trust me, I looked the body over and it is "rust free". I drove it from San Diego to Santa Fe and I had no problems the whole way. So I'm quite happy with my purchase. No complaints. I have the official title and I'm free and clear. I paid just under $4,000 Technically the engine has 214,000 miles on it. Its a 3 speed automatic. There's not a whole lot that needs to be done to it. I wouldn't mind having a sun roof and I need to get a cup holder. Plus a new stereo system at some point.

new and looking for my dream Z car
Hi. I'm Bart. I'm eager to buy a Z car. I'll be doing some research over the summer and hopefully I'll be buying one soon because they're so freek'n sexy and I gotta have one. I've never owned one before and even though I like the idea of a 'fixer upper' I think i'm too much of a novice to be able to do it successfully, at least at this point in my life. Maybe in 10 -15 years I can have more experience and do the fixer upper route. Bart
