  1. Thanks for the help and the website, she's running I'm at peace again.
  2. I had an electrical short come about. A little below the battery I have a relay? or something like it, that burnt up. The car died on me and wont crank. The relay? has a 4 wire plug and is mounted to the firewall a little down and to theside of the battery. I went and looked at another 73 and it had a 6 wire connector and the relay? was smaller. Haynes wiring diagram does not show this anywhere, I'm not good withnwiring so might be wrong on that. The wires are black and white, black and yellow, and white and black and either the BW or BY has 2 wires in connector. Can I bypass this relay? and what is it for. Please help! Thanks
  3. I wired it up by passing the coil completely,and it still sputtered and popped at 4k and the tach quit all together. I think the coil is good becuase you can feel a difference in power with the flame thrower over the stock coil. Would some one please post pics of their coil to see if I'm missing something.Thanks
  4. The car is a 73 240Z 2.4L 4 screw belltops w/European needles from ZTherapy and a full exhuast. Took the condenser off when I did the installation. Thanks
  5. I recently installed the Petronix ignitor and Flame Thrower 3ohm coil. I have wired it to the ballat resistor, one side of ballist resistor, and directly to the coil and still get a miss at 3500 to 4000 rpm.I have new *mm accell wires new denso platnium plugs cap and button. Timing is good. My ? is has anyone got the 3ohm coil to work properly? I have the factory coil back and wired to factory specs and it runs fine. I have searched for this and have come up with no solution.
  6. Thanks I will check them out. I got the intake with the car, thought I might use since I read it was better than the N46 far as flow. This is my first Z. If I buy any intakes it will be a set of triples and a bigger cam. Thanks for the info
  7. Hey guys newbie here. I purchased a 73 240Z that came with round top carbs and a n46 intake already on engine. I have a n33 intake manifold I want to put on, but how would I go about getting it to work properly with all the emissions equipment? I have heasrd this and the n36 flow better so I'm polishing my n33 to put on for a litttle more go. Any help is greatly appreciated. This is my first Z and I'm in love with it.
