i definitely respect the work that's gone in to the car, and obviously the guy loves it and gives it the care all Zs deserve.. but personally I wouldn't be running out to do that to mine like has been said before, each to their own.. the quality of work is definitely high! just not my style

Even better then just keeping them up to date is putting on some better calipers, rotors and nice performance pads.. excellent braking abilities makes for some great fun out in the hills also with first gen Zs a 280zx rear disc conversion isnt that expensive or hard.. i thought it made a significant difference as well, having come from a 260 with drums. i want to upgrade further tho.. hehe *pats his vette calipers* one day..

I think there may be another thread about this somewhere.. but a couple others to definitely look out for are 'Tokyo Extreme Racing' and 'Wangan Midnight' try and find a trailer/preview thing for wangan midnight.. it FEATURES a twin turbo 240z its actually based on a manga which is based on an old live action series (also all featuring a 240z) cant go wrong ;-) definitely recommend tokyo extreme, it's got a nice lineup of Zs with tons of options for body, wheels, performance, etc..
  8. haha cheers man, she's not THAT good, but she's on her way What angles would you like to see it from? I might take some new ones photos! I actually designed the setup in photoshop and gave that to the audio install guy as I'm not that good with fibreglass myself! I also just scored two 12" soundstream subs.. so erm.. sorta deciding if i should put them in the Z or not.. hehehe, might just check them in there for a bit.. my old Z actually had a single 15" JBL subby :cross-eye
  9. Nice work!! must absolutely hammer!! Here's my lil setup.. nothing huge.. but i'm quite proud of it! the box is wood with custom fibreglass bits on the ends which raise the speakers up.. under the middle panel (it lifts up) are two coustic amps and all the wiring goes through the storage box and out a hole behind the seat. so its all hidden. There's a strut brace in now which holds that bass tube in place with a couple thick camping straps.. it sounds quite nice for a 3 speaker setup but i'm looking at the possiblity of some custom door pods for that bit more 'surround' effect!

haha, even better was the next year when they heavily disadvantaged the GTR but it still killed em.. haha.. so are these jeans still out there? or was this from awhile back?? i want some bad! crashed or not! hehe and yeah.. i've had many people give me a weird face when i explain that i drive 'an old datto' mind u once they see it they change their tune
  12. I looked around for replacements for my parker lights for my 260z for awhile with no luck down here in melb aus.. In the end I just ended up removing the lights all together and just having my headlights/foglights.. i reckon it looks nice as even with bright bulbs the plastic of the parker light cover makes em look sorta dim..

me too! do they still sell them?? but why have a crashed one! hehe.. I also thought there was a Z in one of the other austin powers movies during one of the dance scenes, hehe.. think it might've been the first austin powers.. but yeah.. I think it's actually an E-type..

hmmm.. not so fond about going to mph.. and yeah.. i know most (or is it all?) 240s are in mph.. me and my dad bought a 240z as a parts car.. (we've both got 260s, hehe) was also looking at those indiglo gauge things as an option.. but they seem to be just in MPH as well! damn.. love this! it's scary tho, cause it's true!!

ooh, how'd you go for the tacho & speedo? I thought autometer only had speedos in mph? which isnt that useful here in aus? I've put in autometer oil pressure, water temp, boost & fuel level (fuel level has been a nightmare) gauges.. have been wondering what to do with the tach/speedo..

I used to think Zs with stripes were just the coolest thing on the planet!! I still think there are some MINT examples out there.. especially dark blues/black with white stripes.. but personally now.. my tastes have changed and now I love nothing more then a really bright primary colored Z or a really dark blue or black Z i put my answer down as 'depends' tho.. cause I still see the odd Z with stripes of some variety and they can look great!

  24. aRCH-Z replied to Zedrally's post in a topic in Body & Paint
Zedrally, where in australia are you? if you're in Melb i might be able to help! The 'spook' style front spoiler that Zworx in mordialloc have is very similar to that! http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/data/500/3389meZED.jpg they look like that and come in black.. my previous Z had it just plain black and it looked sorta tough! Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but thought i'd see if i could help! to find Zworx, just search www.whitepages.com.au talk to Warren there too
  25. hmm, i've been looking for a way to 'do up' my speedo & tacho a bit since all my other gauges have been replaced.. maybe this would be the way to go? any idea of costs sending em over to Aus and if KMPH are available? can't find any KMPH options on the site
