Jack, haven't heard from you in ages man! how's things been.. good to see that turbos serving you well! and i think a Melb Z cruise is definitely in order! hehe I still remember the first time i was in your car up at deca.. pwhoar.. so very nice.. and to think its gotten that much faster since then.. christ awesome work man!

Mine only has a little way to go before it becomes my dream Z just seats, harnesses, gauges, couple custom interior bits, bigger intercooler, lsd, t28 turbo.. and im done!

hey man, i've put in ultra white light bulbs in all my gauges and painted the needles orangy red with luminous paint.. looks ace if i may say so myself :-D ol MY-260 had red gauge lights as well.. that looked nice especially with the sony xplod head unit hehe but dont ever use those little colored condom things for the bulbs.. they expand with the heat (even when using the correct type for the wattage of bulb) and get paler and paler as time goes.. till it looks more pink then red if you want colored bulbs, fork out the money and get proper colored ones.. autobarn can order em for ya

yeah - an engine, etc always helps hehehe The benefits over the standard sealed beam lights are more then worth any effort involved in putting in at least just a H4 kit.. I've done the conversion to both my Zs, but have taken it further with my current one installing the relays, better bulbs, etc.. the white lights may not suit everyone.. but the standard H4 upgrade alone is well worth it!

Do you mean the actual H4 lighting assembly or the bulb? the bulbs are from a volvo dealer (uber mates rates - autobarn jack the price of those things up so much its crazy! I got a set of two for like $10) the assembly I can't remember.. Can check when I get home but I dont think they're hella.. On a 240z parts car I bought.. it had Hella H4 assemblies (as in the cone, glass, etc) but I've long since thrown all that out (they were cracked, etc) Have you tried the ones you got yet?

go the upgrade!! it helps tons! I've upgraded to the H4 kit.. then installed all wiring relays.. then put in the ultra white bulbs.. visibility is excellent and I'd be lying if I didn't say I think it looks pretty mad btw - here's an idea of the brightness.. (that aint my high beams)

Here's my little round ones.. you can see them just poking out! My old Z had more rectangular style ones.. with a chrome finish on the front.. that looked really nice.. but on this Z I much prefer these lights! (my old Z was more 'original' styled)

yeah i used some of that 'chrome' colored paint to paint my glove box emblem.. turned out really well actually! Looks ace and shiny now But I'm not sure how it'd go anywhere that it might get rubbed against or anything like that though. Might not last nearly as long..
