As d240 states above, try and find an appraiser that is familiar with Z's. Also one that somehow applies the proper value to a low VIN car! Does anyone have an opinion on if and how a low VIN number (< 500) affects the value of the car?
I believe Hagerty has changed their policy here in CA in that your car must be parked in a locked garage. A carport does not qualify any longer. My problem is if I did park it in my garage I would never use it as I would have to juggle 4 cars out of the way to be able to get the car to the street
I just measured on my 1970 240z from the tiny hole in the center of the strut cover cap to the other and it's 33". Maybe 1/16" less but very close to 33".
Very nice valve cover jobs! What is best way to prepare them for paint? Or can they be polished to a shiny aluminum color? Just getting my first Z . Early Series 1. Can't wait! Thanks! Paul
