Watanabe Rims
sorry about the links.. does this help any? http://www.watanabe.com.au/page3.html I'm new to all of this, and in attempt to answer your question, I was thinking of putting in some low profile tires with the rims.. With the tires, Techno Toy Tuning's coil over conversion kit and silvermine's brake kit...

Watanabe Rims
I was thinking about putting some Watanabe R-Type rims on my 1973 240z. I was wondering if you guys had any experience with the rims to the type of car? I was thinking maybe 16x9.0. Does anyone know what the offset will be and how it might look like? Will it be necessary to put in some fender flares to compensate the offset? I'm sure someone out here's got some sweet photos of their Z with these type of rims.. Here a link to the ones I'm looking at: http://otomoto.shop0...EF/14665711.gif http://media.photobu...ls/WAts15x8.jpg

Inner Shift Boot
I was wondering what the dimensions (width wise) of the rubber inner shift boots for a 1973 manual were? My trans tunnel doesn't have one and the holes where a typical inner boot would be are actually on the four far corners (and not two on the top and bottom on the right, and two in the middle on the left). I'm thinking the previous owner may have modded the hole or something. So I was just wondering, before I bought one, what the dimensions on the inner shift boots that you could buy now were...

Suspension and Brakes Upgrades! What do you guys think?
Hey, thanks for the suggestion! The Silvermines look pretty sweet! It doesn't seem too bad on the price as well, I'll highly consider this set up!

Suspension and Brakes Upgrades! What do you guys think?
What would you recommend the brake setup in compliments with the T3's suspension gear? I'm thinking that I'll mostly have it as a daily driver, but I'd like to bring it to the track on the weekends..

Suspension and Brakes Upgrades! What do you guys think?
I was planning on having it mostly on the street, but be able to bring it to the track on the weekends. So would it seem that the Track-Pak is overkill for my use? If so, what kind of brake setup would you guys recommend with the Techno suspension?

Strut Bars vs. Sway Bars?
So struts are on the top, sways are on the bottom.. I think I got it. Is it overkill to put BOTH struts and sways in the front and rear?

Strut Bars vs. Sway Bars?
I was wondering what the difference was between strut bars versus sway bars? Could I put both on? Or are they the same thing? Would it be practical to put them both? Thanks.

Suspension and Brakes Upgrades! What do you guys think?
I was looking around for some suspension upgrades for my '73 240z, and I came across Techno Toy Tuning. I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about them, if they are good quality, reliable, the works.. Tell me what you guys think! Originally, I was looking at Arizona Z Car's Ultimate "Track-Pak." Now I know that the Track-Pak is more complete, but its really expensive. Although I would have barely enough for the kit, I was thinking that if I got the Techno Toy Tuning set up, I could save a few bucks for some other things. What are your guys' thoughts? Should I get the suspension upgrades form Techno, and get some cheaper rotors and brakes? Or should I just dive into the Arizona Z Car's Track-Pak w/ the wilwoods and all? Would it be worth it just going all out, or is there a cheaper, just as good compromise with Techno Toy? Suggestions? I'm debating really hard about it and I'd like some ideas before I make my final decision! Thanks! Upgrade Opinion Please!!!
I appreciate all the tips. I'm really learning a lot from you guys, thank you! A little more about my car: - 1973 240z - about 180+ miles - not all stock The previous owner changed out the SU carbs and put in a Holley 4-barrel. He also changed the intake and put some headers in there. With it, he swapped out of the exhaust for something around 2.5". The ignition was changed from the original, though its not MSD to say the least, haha.. Furthermore, the suspension was changed to something crappy from Kragen's, but he did put in new tires. The car still has the disk brakes in the front and the drums in the back. Other than that, everything is pretty much stock and untouched. No real rust anywhere on the car, just a few touches here and there. However, the car was repainted, and I think in the process of putting the car back together, they misaligned the doors and rear hatch in the process.. probably due to rushing because the paint job isn't that great to begin with... I can't think of anything else, but if you guys need to know more, don't hesitate to ask.. If you need to know a bit more, I'll try to fit you in. Again, thanks a bunch!!!

Upgrade Opinion Please!!!
Nothing Wrong with the steering column, I just thought that I'd opt in for something a little stiffer for the upgrades...

Upgrade Opinion Please!!!
I was wondering from expert/experienced opinion, which upgrades should I get first? I want to do this in the right order so I don't regret getting one upgrade before/after another. Also, I was wondering of what you guys think about the brands/packages that I'm thinking of getting and suggest any brands/packages that you know of that are good. I want the car to still be street legal (California), but be able to bring it to the track every now and then for some cornering fun! - Suspension and Brakes: Arizona Z Car (Track-Pak) - Triple Carburetors: Weber - New Steering Column - new paint and body alignment (body is not that bad, just misaligned in a few spots...) - LSD upgrade - wheels and tires - sway bars
