My 280z is running rich. Is there a way to reglulate fuel mix to the engine? I see no vacuum leaks and idle is silk smooth.

Hi Folks, I cleaned my spark plugs and noticed all were ok except No.1 that was wet with oil. Engine has decent compression and runs smooth as silk. Car has been sitting for about six months. Could it be I have excess oil that has creeped into the cylinders due to a bad valve stem seal? If I rev it at idle it will smoke at 3000RPM and then clear up. I'm guessing I should drive it for awhile....any suggestions?

Is it possible to remove the oil pan on a 280Z without removing the engine. I seem to have a slight leak and want to replace the gasket. Thanks. Riq

The coil on my 77 280Z is looking tired but still make may car run well. I am considering painting it or maybe getting a performance alternative. Has anybody replaced the OEM coil with a better option that looks original. Any recomendation is appreciated. Riq

Not sure if I agree completly on that. The iridium plug has a very small electrode tip generating very high current. Thus the chances of fouling are greatly reduced as well as the process of it self cleaning. Does wonders on my Porsche 912.

My 280Z does not have that little lever on the picture. Can anybody tell me what it was for?

I just purchased the earlier version from nissan parts for 17Bucks. Awsome cause I was about to dish 55$ for a repro on ebay. Thanks much Jerz.

Any body have a 77 280Z and use NGK Iridium plugs. They are recomended for the 260 but for some reason don't see them listed for the 280Z on the NGK parts finder?

hey folks, glad to join the CZCClub. Although new here I have many years with my 280Z. Some Ahole tried to pry my outside mirror off and broke the mirror base. I have had no luck getting a replacement anywhare. Can anybody help me locate a good used parts store or new. thanks riq
