Thanks Mark. The wheels are 16x7 Panasports with 205/55/16 tires - they work perfectly. Diseazd on this site gave me the recommendation - he has a stable of beautiful Z cars. Hank

Was the air cleaner blue on the 1970 cars? I have a February 71 car and the cleaner is orange. Hank

I didn't want to hijack your thread and I'm not sure these came through - but here she is. I finsihed her all stock. I have the original steel wheels and mint "D" hubcaps tucked away in the basement. Hank

Mark - I was at Whiteheads today - your car is sitting right next to my yellow 71 240. Chris is right - she's looking good and you'll be a happy boy. Hank

I was at the paint shop this morning and saw your blue beauty. It looks absolutley fantastic - even before final wetsand and polish. You are going to be very, very happy. cheers Hank
  10. Zedyone - are all of the parts available to chnage the interior to red? belive the plastic parts are available in red from MSA but what about the seat covers and door panels? thanks Hank

Holy Eye Candy Mike - that is one sweet engine bay. And a fine idea as well. Hank

Mark - I too have the Fujitsubo exhaust on my Z - the sound is beautiful and it looks great on the car - fits perfectly. You are going to have one sweet machine there - love the colours. I don't think Ian is a member here but I know he is a member of the Z car club in Edmonton. Grannyknot - I agree - we should have a send off for Mark. Hank

Mark - I can see why you love your Z. My 1971 is just finishing a total resto-mod restoration - built up 2.8. 240SX 5 speed, Arizona Z Car disc brakes all around, Arizona Z Car suspension, Quaiffe posi rear end, header and exhaust from Japan, all new interior, Rota RBR 17 inch wheels, etc, etc.We.re hoping to get her done for the big Speedorama Show in Mississauga in March. Mike has found some amazing original and rare parts for me in Japan. I can't wait to get into this thing. Rest assured, Whitehead is very trustworthy and know what they are doing with these Zs. I am in touch with another Z owner in Edmonton - he owns a red 72 and bought some original wheels off of me - Ian Salisbury, a good guy. Do you know him?
  14. Casey -- she's looking sweet. Now that my yellow Z is ready to roll, we have to get together for a cruise this summer. I'm with you - I'm done with this crappy winter - it should go away....now.

Mark - I was at Whiteheads today checking out the progress on my 240Z and had a look at your baby. She's a nice clean car - you'll no doubt be very pleased with the end result. Hank
  16. I'm not sure if this picture upload worked - thanks for the guidance Blue. This is my skinny, mullet - head self in 1978 with my 73 240Z. I loved that car - would have never met any women without it. The poor girl rusted out from under me. I learned my lesson - my current 71 Zs are both southern rust free beauties. Hank
  17. Whitehead is a great choice - Mike, Greg and the lads are currently finishing up a complete down to the metal restoration of one of my 1971 240Zs - amazing attention to detail and true caring about the customer and the end product. They really know their Zs. On the transportaion front, I have used Mackie Transport out of Oshawa to bring three cars up from various points in the USA. They are an outstanding company who really know how to handle classic cars. I highly recommend them. PM me if you need to get contact information. Hank

Gents - I was surprised to see the picture from Whitehead Performance - it is a shot of my 1971 that they are currently restoring. It is the original cap with the chain inside the filler tube. Both of my 71s have the same gas cap. Cheers Hank

A very quick question for you wise folks - is the paint finish on the gas tank of my 1971 240 a gloss black or semi-gloss black ?? Thanks Hank
  23. Carl - excellent advice from a wise and experienced man. Having restored and refreshed a few cars, I share your views. Hank

I talked to Norm the weekend after his accident - the boy is lucky to be alive and unhurt - the truck rolled several times. He was still happy to ramble on about my Z and the parts I need from him. I sent him some parts for refurbishing and he sent me an email as soon as he received them. A good guy. I'll let you know how the parts turn out - should be back in about 2 weeks. Hank
  25. Outstanding job - your baby looks great. What finish did you use on the valve cover? If painted, what paint? Thanks Hank
