I'll take one as well. cheers
  3. Thanks very much Ed. I have been checking on eBay but nothing has popped up for quite some time. I'd really like an original as opposed to a recreation. cheers
  4. Good afternoon gents - I currently have a "Do It In A Datsun" license plate frame that came with my yellow 1971 240Z (see attached). I'm looking for another rone of these for my silver 240Z. Anyone have one that they are willing to sell ? Any leads? Much appreciated
  5. Jim - congrats on the sale of that lovely Z. Some one is a very fortunate new Z owner. cheers

I require the same switch for a radio I plan to restore - DJwarner - please pm me. Thanks
  8. I use CBI USA in Niagara Falls, NY as my shipping location in the USA - its 5 minutes across the Rainbow Bridge. In fact, I zipped down from Burlington on my lunch today and picked up a set of Wesco seat belts - and the fine Canadian border guard lady let me through without duties. usually you have to pay duties, but its worth it so you don't have to pay brokerage fees and FedEx. Chris - your project is coming along nicely ! cheers
  9. I have a 1971 and I'll gladly purchase factory style jute kit. thanks
  10. Blue, Captain Obvious - thanks for the great pics. It was a great ZCON - my first one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think our local Ontario chapter did us proud in the organization of the event. By far the best part was hanging with the fine gentlemen on this forum. So many good people from all over North America sharing a common love of the Z car - priceless. cheers
  11. Namerow - I'm a fellow Burlington Z fella - I'll be in my silver 1971 240 at the show on Saturday - license HANK240Z, please stop by and introduce yourself - like to meet you. cheers
  12. Blue - great to see you and Janet at the show - thanks for putting a couple of pics of my babies up here And thanks for the use of your wrenches - I tried to return them after the show but couldn't find you - if you're at the show on Saturday, I'll bring them with me. cheers

Gav - I think I'll hang on to the radio for now but if I decide to get rid of it, I'll get in touch. cheers
  14. Chris - the car is looking great. I hope you get more than expected for it. cheers

Gav - I thought you require a TM-1081ZA and already have a couple of TM-1081ZB radios ? Or am I confused (my typical state of mind) .

Nice work on the car ! Luv the thread. A quick question - can you please give me some more information on the jute - where did you get it, etc. ? Much appreciated

    Nice. Thanks Steve.

Steve, thanks very much for the link. That's the radio I have but it appears to be missing the power antennae switch. My yellow stock Z already has the original a.m. radio (did not remove it from the car during the resto so I didn't know the serial number), and in the silver restomod, I have an original AM/FM radio from a 1972. I'm not yet sure what I'll do with the radio - have to put a think on it. cheers

    I found out that the model number TM-1081ZB(S) represents the A.M. radio for a 1970 - 1971 240Z. thanks

Gents, on the subject of radios (apologies if I am hijacking this thread) - I have a Hitachi radio in my parts stash with the model number TM-1081ZB(S). Any thoughts on what this represents ? thanks
  21. Philip - I talked to a few folks today (at our ZClub swap meet) about the tires for ZCon showing - there were two opinions: 1. If the car does not have the correct size Bridgestones original equipment, the car would lose 1 point per tire. 2. If the car has new tires of the correct size - ie 175 HR14's, then no points deducted (ie does not matter if they are old Bridgestones). Not much help, I know. Anyone else on the forum have any thoughts?
  22. Philip - did you ever get an answer to your question on tires? I'd like to know for my 1971.
  23. Thats the first time I've seen those Kameari seats - luv 'em.
  24. Gents - Well said. My first sports car was a 1973 240Z way back when - it rusted out from under me (Canadian car). I then went through the MGB, TR6, a couple of old Corvettes, a 1972 Camaro and a sweet 1969 Camaro ragtop. I now have 2 1971 240Zs (southern US cars)and I am a very happy boy. cheers
  25. The seat belts are in great shape other than the one broken clip, so I am not getting them redone - just have to cut the webbing, replace the clip and get the belt resewn. A bit of a pain but has to be done. thanks
