  2. Ladies and Gents - I need your assistance in locating the plastic seat belt adjustor clip for the drivr's side of my 1971 240Z. Mine is broken. See Picture. Please let me know if you have one (or more) available and the cost. Much appreciated.
  3. Blue - it was a very short rip to the East Coast this year for a wedding. No time on my own. I'm looking forward to seeing you next year. Good luck with the blue Z....hmm, wonder why you picked that colour?? cheers

Mark - I was at Whtehead's this morning and your baby is most definitely at Florida Garage for the wet sand and polish. I was hoping to meet you and watch you roll away in the sweet Z but won't be around next week due to work. Safe travels and enjoy the reborn Z. cheers

I too am glad the car was found - was sure it was in a container on its way to Europe. I was at Whitehead Performance today and the Z is there waiting to get repairs - damage wasn't too bad and apparently insurance will cover all but the deductible. Damage was a broken drivers side quarter window, broken front spoiler, damaged drivers side door (dent, scratches), steering coumn totalled and in need of replacement and filthy underside and engine compartment - no doubt from being dragged into the field. Definitely an interesting story with a happy ending. I really hope they find the people who stole it.
  7. Thank you gentlemen - I am now pointed in the right direction. cheers
  8. Ladies and gents - I have a restored, stock 1971 240Z. What are your suggestions for a long lasting stock appearance on the exhaust manifolds. The rest of the engine bay looks great but the manfolds go brown pretty quick. thanks
  9. I'm not sure if the link I just sent works - my apologies if it does not.

  11. Excellent information guys - much appreciated.
  12. Ladies and gents - I have questions regarding the 6" x 35.75 " vinyl covered panel that attaches to the interior of the back hatch on my 1971 240z's. I have seen two different methods of attaching the panel (10 holes) to the hatch - one method uses colour coordinated plastic rivets and the other method uses screws with cup washers (not too pretty IMHO). I have been told that depending on the time of production, both methods are correct. - if there is only one correct answer, which attachement method is correct ? - if both methods are indeed correct, when was the change made? Any other information would be appreciated. thanks

Mark - she's looking better all the time - the Whitehead boys do nice work. No doubt ready for you in early Spring for sure. I'm heading to Whitehead's tomorrow -I'll have a look in person. Are you still planning to drive the Z back to Edmonton in the Spring ?
  14. NLA = No Longer Available - just clued in - sorry.
  15. Kerrigan - understood, but I don't believe Bridgestone makes the 175 HR 14 size anymore (??).
  16. AZ-240z - thanks for the lead on the stock tires. I have the original wheels and D hubcaps for one of my 71s and can now get the original tire size. cheers

    Very Sweet.
  18. Mark, Chris - I was at Whitehead Performance today - all the core members of the team are intact and working hard. They're pretty busy and are looking for additional staff for the increased workload. So, all is well in the world of Whitehead. cheers
  19. No worries Mark - I'll keep you posted. I also have a deep interest in ensuring all is well in the Whiehead world.

The leather looks great Scot - good pics and write-up. I'm considering a change to red interior - what did you do about your red door panels, or are they still in good shape? Can anyone else out there provide some insight into obtaining new red door panels? thanks
  21. I was just there last week talking to Mike and Greg about my car. Although busy, all seemed to be humming along pretty good. I'll be going up there either tomorrow or Thursday - I'll let you know.

Carl, very wise words - and from some one who has gone through my share of 60's muscle cars, I could not agree more. Hank

A quick question for you knowledgeable folks - the tool kit that came with my 1971 240Z has rigid one piece, non-folding wheel chocks. I picked up another Nissan tool bag that includes two folding wheel chocks. Are the folding wheel chocks from a different year or is this tool bag for a different model Datsun? Any thoughts? thanks
