Off to ontario!
Mark - I was at Whtehead's this morning and your baby is most definitely at Florida Garage for the wet sand and polish. I was hoping to meet you and watch you roll away in the sweet Z but won't be around next week due to work. Safe travels and enjoy the reborn Z. cheers

Stolen 240Z
I too am glad the car was found - was sure it was in a container on its way to Europe. I was at Whitehead Performance today and the Z is there waiting to get repairs - damage wasn't too bad and apparently insurance will cover all but the deductible. Damage was a broken drivers side quarter window, broken front spoiler, damaged drivers side door (dent, scratches), steering coumn totalled and in need of replacement and filthy underside and engine compartment - no doubt from being dragged into the field. Definitely an interesting story with a happy ending. I really hope they find the people who stole it.

Refinishing Exhaust Manifold For Stock Appearance
Ladies and gents - I have a restored, stock 1971 240Z. What are your suggestions for a long lasting stock appearance on the exhaust manifolds. The rest of the engine bay looks great but the manfolds go brown pretty quick. thanks

Interior Fastener Questions
Ladies and gents - I have questions regarding the 6" x 35.75 " vinyl covered panel that attaches to the interior of the back hatch on my 1971 240z's. I have seen two different methods of attaching the panel (10 holes) to the hatch - one method uses colour coordinated plastic rivets and the other method uses screws with cup washers (not too pretty IMHO). I have been told that depending on the time of production, both methods are correct. - if there is only one correct answer, which attachement method is correct ? - if both methods are indeed correct, when was the change made? Any other information would be appreciated. thanks

Question - Wheel Chocks
A quick question for you knowledgeable folks - the tool kit that came with my 1971 240Z has rigid one piece, non-folding wheel chocks. I picked up another Nissan tool bag that includes two folding wheel chocks. Are the folding wheel chocks from a different year or is this tool bag for a different model Datsun? Any thoughts? thanks
