I understand that most of the information that I am inquiring about is more than likely in a post somewhere, and believe me, I have done a ton of reading since I joined this site ! So, I hope you members won't hold it against me if I ask a few questions in hopes to gain some much needed guidance and enable me to get back out to the garage that much sooner. Having said that...here goes...
To start with, I own a 73' 240z which has a 78' 5 speed and running gear, but not sure of the ratio.
, 74' 260z, and a 75' 280z is the base for my project due to the fact it has the best body And I just pulled a turbo engine and transmission out on an 83' 280ZX 2+2
The plan is to install an engine management onto the FI system, while I rebuild the turbo engine. But couldn't decide which transmission and running gear would work best.
I would also like to convert the rear drums to disk just to get it on the road. I have contacted a local import shop and have lined up some skyline calipers and rotors, but am having a hard time researching mounting hardware ect... keep in mind that I've been a welder fabricator for 14 years, so if I can get a diagram, I might be able to make it from scratch?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
