  3. Great to see an old friend of 20 years who is a Z genius Glenn McCoy. Glenn's build a 1972 Nissan Fairlady ZR1. The car will be painted in "Shock Yellow" a radical 2019 Camaro color. The color is very similar to Nissan Yellow Lime code 112. My 1970 Nissan Fairlady ZL will be painted the same and is an example of the body Glenn's car started from. Glenn was ready to junk the 1972 Fairlady ZL as mother nature was taking the car back. The very talented and meticulous Bobby Weaver will be painting both cars. The drivetrain is from a 1996 C4 Corvette and the LS1 engine came from a 2000 Camaro. Except for the coil over conversion, the suspension is bone stock C4 Corvette. Glenn also built a Daytona 240Z. The photoshoot at ZCON Daytona he remembers. A lot of people at the show really wanted the three cars to be seen together. It was an honor and it propelled him to try to make another statement to the Z Community on his current project.

  10. This foot rest came out of a 1980 S130 Nissan Fairlady Z I lost in a shop fire. It has one of Ian's reproduction rubber two pieces that fit together. The passenger side of the car suffered no damage as the car on the driver's side was the culprit. The foot rest is for sale hit me up if interested. P.S. This was mounted directly to the carpet/floor pan without any spacers.
  11. Can't wait to are the finished car!
  12. Okay - The Roadster bolts are a little longer then the 240Z bolts. I drilled out two aluminum hex head valve caps, which sealed the air cleaner against the seal.
  13. Updated map, doesn't make sense to drag the car hauler all over CO, AZ, NM, and TX. Will go back to Colorado Springs to pick it up visit friends and head home form there. We will make a Z Across America!!!

  16. Sunshine yellow is more pale, lime is bright with a green tint... Oh your off 198. Will have to have you over to the clubhouse sometime. 410-693-8184 shoot me a text, what's your name? Cheers, Kirk
  17. Yes indeed, that color paint camera matched to Acura Phoenix Yellow. Original color I believe was Lime Yellow, the jury is still out as that color wasn't available until 1972 here. In Japan they tried things out before putting them on the export models. if not Lime Yellow, then Sunshine Yellow. Where in Laurel do you live? I'm in Laurel quite a bit.
  18. Who's going to ZCON? I'll be there! My 15 year old son Jake and I will be hitting the road with the 1970 Nissan Fairlady Z in the car hauler. We will arrive at ZCON on 17 August after a stopover at Mount Rushmore, South Dakota (2,086 miles). We will depart ZCON 22 August headed for Grand Canyon, Arizona, Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, and Dallas, Texas before returning home to Lake Shore, Maryland (5,315 miles total). Cheers, Kirk

  23. Late to the game! The air cleaner bolts from Nissan with the part number are now hex head. https://parts.nissanusa.com/p/Datsun__240Z/BOLT/89410733/16516-E3210.html I just purchased a set of Datsun Roadster wing nut bolts that look to be the same thread and length. I will provide an update when they arrive. Cheers, Kirk
