It wasn't the previous owner who did that, it was the previous owner before him. I'm thinking that he wanted some camber plates without buying camber plates.

Not sure what happened to the shock towers.. I think one of the previous owners wanted camber plates without actually buying camber plates. Haha I don't have a welder.. and even if I do manage to buy one I doubt my home circuit will be able to provide the juice I need, hell, my 26(?) gallon air compressor is struggling as it is.

It's a '75 280z. No smog! History is a bit complicated.. I have records from 2 owners, the previous owner didn't turn it over under his name, but I have records of the previous owner before him (we'll call him Jack) and the owner before that (we'll call him Jim). The car came from Las Vegas, I have a Nevada title that indicates that "Jim" had ownership of the car, then I also have a bill of sale indicating that "Jack" was the owner after that. It looks like it hasn't been under anybodies name officially since "Jim" had ownership, so it was never registered as a Arizona car. Does anyone have access to a Carfax or some sort of vehicle history database?

So... I uhm.. I think one might say now that I may or may not have some issues that might need to be gone through with some sort of therapist.. This is what happens when you take wild animals from there natural habitat. I have to do something ASAP before this turns ugly(er). Thumbs down for the party pooper!

It's been a while, I have something up my sleeve Leon. In the meantime I have some bad news.. I must put these up for sale. I'm asking $320 for both, I won't sell them seperately. They will come with both front and rear brackets to make life easier for the buyer. I don't have much time to ship these things so I'm looking for a local only transaction for the time being. Front.. Rear.. Before someone asks... I have no idea why the PO used bondo.

Update time: Since I was painting and everything was off on the front I decided to take an extra step and start removing both fenders so I can lessen the eyesore of the damage and rust. On to the pictures.. Today I managed to do the passenger side. After some brushing with the drill since the home electrical circuit can't handle my die grinder. Erhm... I have a feeling this is not suppose to be. The infamous dogleg.. Damage... this is another consequence cause by hit. Looking directly from below.. The day ended after I sprayed it with rust primer. This is definitely not going to be a show car result since I have limited supplies but atleast the car will end up being all one color. More to come tomorrow...

So after being annoyed with the yellow overspray all over the place I decided to do something about it. And here's a pic I took not too long ago to contrast and make up for the first ****ty cell pic. :mhihi:

Is there any toe in on your rear driver's side wheel?
Hmm... never thought about that to be honest, I guess I'll have to look a little closer tomorrow. Thanks for the response.

Is there any toe in on your rear driver's side wheel?
So I've noticed for some time now that there seems to be some noticeable toe in on my S30 and am wondering if that is normal for S30's or not. It looks like that specific wheel is not centered, I have seen many S30's with this same problem. Is this a normal occurrence? Any idea what causes it?

The 280zx (S130) Story
I found this article roaming around and gave it a reading, I didn't know much of the history behind the S130 so it was definitely a good read. Car Lust: 1979-1983 Datsun 280ZX?280ZX Turbo (S130 Series)

So I've just realized something, it looks like all s30's I've seen have this(refer to the picture) going on to some degree.. can anyone explain to me why? Car in the picture is not mine by the way. That's the rear driver's side wheel FYI.

Just wondering.. does anybody know where these are suppose to go? It seems like they have twice the range than the ones I have on currently. Motorsport! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts but with a greater adjustment range, but I can't seem to find them anymore. Maybe I was dreaming? haha

So.. I took it to work today (work at a college) and I figured out my head light problem. Also, while I was there I asked a professor that teaches body shop if he can check out my car, so he did and said that he'd have to check his softwares to see if he has the measurements for my specific car so he can do it the easy way and let the computer measure everything out, so he'll get back to me on thursday. I'm trying to not get to excited since he's a busy guy and well.. it's a college so even though I don't want to think about it too much, I just know that if I do leave the car in campus it will take a while 'til it gets finished. I just don't have the luxury to do that unfortunately..

Homeboyx's 280z Thread
Thanks bart, I finally got the chance to take the s30 for a few freeway runs and it's kind of scary.. seems like the car doesn't like when the wind blows. haha Another problem has arose though, a couple actually.. 1. I've noticed that I can turn to the right easier than I can turn to the left.. I'm thinking it might be due to the akward camber? But I doubt it'll make that big of a problem though.. kind of weird. Also, it pulls to the right when I left go of the steering wheel while driving. Due to this I've decided to look for a good working steering rack to replace mine with, so if ANYONE has a good spare they'd like to throw my way please let me know ASAP since I need this to be my DD very soon. 2. When I was on the freeway I noticed some weird sound coming from what I can only guess the front passenger side wheel area. I don't want to say it was a grinding noise just yet since I don't really recall the exact sound atm. I'm thinking it might be a bad wheel bearing because the sound would come-fade-come-fade. 3. Also when on the freeway I noticed another sound coming from behind me, I'm assuming it would be the driveshaft of the diff since it felt like vibrations. Anyway, let me know if you guys have any suggestions or tips or what have you..

New 70-72 front bumper on Ebay...rare?
I don't know about you guys, but I personally just can't justify spending $200+ for a piece of metal that is that of a 240z front bumper.. I've tried but I just can't find a good enough excuse. haha
