  4. This is just because the hype and value to them, from my engineer/mechanic point of view, I would never give 32k for that thing lol. These people that bid, make a calculation what it's worth restored, and take the bet
  5. It's HBM not HTM , yeah they have pretty good stuff, I believe most is made in Taiwan. I use a lot of their stuff in my workshop for many years now, not much problems, work fine. When they where still in their old building, i allready bought there. Their populairity has exploded now
  6. Haha it's a cover, they put their own logo on it , free advertising I guess lol
  7. Hi Mart, Matte finish i read somewhere is original the tailpanel, not clear coated. Yes this is 2k paint but not shiny. The rear deck lid i put clear coat yes.. These are my other classics, the Mustang just got new paint.. . The Kreidler 50cc is from 70 the Yamaha scooter from 1998, but these are getting classics slowly, and i wanted an original one, since i had that scooter when i was 16😄. Currently putting together a 65 zundapp 50cc to. This will be the last project so far..
  8. Valve adjustment done to, last one was 2 years ago i think... Cilinder 123 all where to tight, 456 only the intake
  9. I had to do something about the rear deck lid it was starting to get bad ( respray was in 2016 . The paint is still fine, the rust is starting in places out of sight. So far around the doors is still fine, it was only in the rear. And i think the tail light panels look close enough 😌
  10. Thought so haha, in my edit i posted that ,thanks
  11. 280 nos belt is on. Seems fine to me... Removed the taillight panel to get that original look and treat surface rust beneath the rear panel... Fun thing is i found a photo of one in the edit: Shanghai museum that is glossy? 😂
  12. 280 nos belt is on. Seems fine to me... Removed the taillight panel to get that original look and treat surface rust beneath the rear panel... Fun thing is i found a photo of one in the Nissan museum that is glossy? 😂
  13. the oem 240 belts are almost none to find anymore, i'll use the 280 one then, I bet it was more flexible when new haha, it became stiff, like old people
  14. creative, i like it ! Would those few mm really matter ? I can put the oem 280 strap on, or the one pvc one, that snapped only after 2 years.
  15. 🙄
  16. if i put this one, next to the used oem one from the 280z they are the same length and width
  17. Does it really matter ? I can't seem to find 240 straps. I do have this one also, but the previous one snapped: Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z Differential Arrestor Band Belt Rear 413 | eBay
  18. So this one is going to be on. Original used one..
  19. Good luck, I would have bought it, but i have to many projects on my head allready, oh well, maybe in the future when I have more space haha
  20. If you remove " Dish " from dishwasher, you have a parts washer
  21. yeah, but your 240z needs more than that mart, i wouldn't call it " vibration free " when i sat in it years ago. if you want to do it properly you need to invest big bucks in all the old rubber suspension parts etc
  22. Well that didn't last long, the bolts made it rattle, cut it off. I ordered a used old one from Ebay, let's be patience, and put that on...
  23. I did not have a spare differential band by hand, so i made a temp one myself. See if it holds for now... The Nylon belt isn't so strong either
  24. something is of on that first yellow one that went for 60k. sits odd on the springs, as a mechanic point of view that looks like a slapped and glued together car for big bucks , wonder how it drives lol
