  1. @ Carl and Eurodat: the problem is solved with new lug nuts and washers, but don't know how to explain in English. Update: The exhaust is on, also the new kyb schoks! Still waiting for the seats, wanted to drive this weekend, but will be next week. Tomorrow the seats are done.
  2. Hello Chris, how's going so far ?

  4. Another 12 pack! Exactly. We have crates of german beer ( 0,5 liter ) here by the way @ 2000JP: Looks good man !
  5. No cars, only my Z and my brothers Caprice with a 305 engine. But I do have a 125cc water cooled go kart that I made myself using a 100cc air cooled basis. Top speed is 115 km/h ( automatic ).
  6. I'd say hell no, look for another one. 5k is to much for this, and what the hell did they do with the front?!
  7. I hope so Chas.. Today I managed to finish the front.. the old shocks where " dead "... Lot of work, also because I had to clean everything up, it was all sticky with grease and dirt. And sprayed it black with some paint. Somebody damaged the left front fender..as you can see in picture, it's not much, but (#@$ ! I will get it fixed. I hope to do the back tomorrow. Exhaust shop called that he exhaust is ready wednesday. And the seats also hopefully this week. I saw a compelete set of urethane bushing on ebay, anybody experience with this? Or are they to stiff, and will make my ride a hell ?

  9. Thanks Robert. I know what you mean...I also work on the Z when I have some time between work or after work. I have taken the old exhaust from under the car, including the downpipe, and will bring it to a shop that will make a stock replica. The seats had new covers, but the foam underneath is mostly all gone, this week, I will bring the seats away, to be refurbed with new foam. And also waiting for my KYB schoks that are underway from the states, and will arrive this week.
  10. Thanks for the info Carl.
  11. I also saw a white one in the a-team tv series, I believe the episode trouble on wheels, halfway the episode.
  12. Green paint looks really good on them, especially with that brown interior, nice z !
  13. Datsun 240z Exhaust Down Pipe ? Also found a company here, that can make a reproduction from my old one, should I do that? They ask 185 euro for the replica downpipe..
  14. does anybody know where to get a stock exhaust header ( downpipe ) ? Or an immitation once that's the same as orginal. I don't want the spaghetti alternatives.. If somebody has the measurements of the stock downpipe that would also be good. edit: sorry mods this needed to be in the exhaust section!

  16. Exactly. -> Timing seems okay, and he has a spark -> Compression seems okay fuel issue left... ( he's reporting wet spark plugs and fuel dripping out of carbs )
  17. It's not an american car, weighing 2 tons and a crush zone of a tank, the 240 is a tin can ! But it's all what you want, look on hybridz.. anythings possible if you don't like stock, and you need deep pockets...very deep pockets.
  18. Yeah, sounds like the bowls are not filled quick enough.
  19. You mean road force balancing? There's only companies in the west who do that. Anyhow I don't think it's that. I will try 4 new shocks first.. ordered a set of KYB from Ebay, will have them next week. Will see what it does. I did read they have a critical function with McPherson suspensions...

  23. Make sure you use enough oil on everything, for the first start. Better to much then to less really.
  24. I'm using Fram to, we mostly get those here. I did tighten with hand, but had to re-tighten with hand several times, because it came loose, due vibrations of the engine block I think, but now it seems to hold, after a few re-tightening.
