  1. " I'm very happy to have the vented quarter. much less problems with maintenance and good ventilation without the back incoming exhaustgasses " Same... I also think that is the reason the factory changed the design 😉
  2. no such things as a series lol. mine should then have series 1 parts but a 2 body lol, but whatever makes people feel good, i really don't mind, for god sake you call it series 0.5 lol
  3. I think you can ship a batch by sea freight, but air it not possible with rattle cans, because explosion danger

I fainted at the second post of pictures... 😵 kidding, but damn that's a nice one for the metal press...
  5. You could buy this in bulk and sell the rest online to z fans in the us and europe 😄

No just a good paste wax. My main goal was polishing the paint, because it was getting dull in certain spots after a wash. Paint job was done 8 years ago. I can always apply new paste wax myself. Not a big fan of modern glass or Ceramic coatings

I brought the z to a car detailer who polished it..it was full of swirls etc. Paint is 8 years old but wel maintained. Looks like new again he did a great job.

Okay, thanks ! Then the diff I found with it is correct

To be sure ? I assumed the 3.900 diff ratio came behind this FS5C71A and not the 3.36 or 3.75 ( automatic ? ) Does somebody have a manual or something to check it out ?

I finally picked up the A type....5 speed today.... rebuild.. I won't install it this year anyhow, but then I have it laying around, the guy who rebuild is going to retire and close his shop next year, so I was just in time...
  13. Man I love Caddy's ! a 70 coupe de ville is still on my bucket list for a sunday cruiser
  14. not bad ! he really did put in effort. Is this allowed by Ferrari ? Cause usually when you make replica's you have lawyers all over you 😂 It's cool but I wouldn't drive around in a replica lol
  15. My condolences... It's an awfull disease, one of my close relatives has it to, he is in his final stages to, about a month left maybe.. I lost alot of family and relatives to cancer last 15 years sadly.. Take care.. Gr bart
  16. It's a problem with allmost all modern weather stripping kits. Seals used to be softer in the past to. The door slamming thing is also because to hard and thick modern seals, i found a problem for that finding my own seal at an industrial supplier. Currently not a Z but my 70 mustang was painted last year, and the rear glass was out, they put a new seal but it's leaking everywhere when I wash it and even with rain. ordered a more expensive one, going to try again.
  17. Could be, hard to tell from pictures, but I can see what Mart is saying here. Could be just light effects
  18. Yours is very nice Mart ! I think the 280zx is more of a grand tourer, and it's interior and handling are much more modern compared to the 240z
  19. Those flat tops remind me on the emission carbs i am working on with the scooters:
  20. The service manuals are dated by year and domestic or export MODEL, the series term on the front is only to determine S30 serie(S ! ) I agree that $^!# is confusing, got me to in the beginning. I'm not here to fight who is right or not wright lol. If you want to call it a series 1 go ahead. It's funny i'm now about 15 years into restoring classic cars ( US and JDM ) and bikes to ) , what I find is that basically on ALL cars and bikes of that time period, changes through the years and even months occured quickly, because quickly changing goverment regulations etc. So every kind of classic club has it's own way of seperating changes throughout the years. Some became a myth, some are true.
  21. starters are dirt cheap around 70 bucks, just get a new rebuild one. A rebuild shop will prob charge more then reman
  22. It does say " MODEL " S30 Series though 😆
  23. That's not specific with Datsun, almost all brands had that in the day, because changes followed each other so rapidly. Some parts from 69/70 where left over and stuffed in a 71 with some new things together, I just restored a 1965 515 zundapp moped, some thing going on there, some parts from previous model 510, some parts from later model 517 allready. My 70 Mustang the same, it shares things from a 69, but not everything
  24. Guys there is no such thing as a " series 1,2 etc " ....
  25. Seems the hype is over for now, values are steady. I wonder how it will go in the future, because interest from newer generations will move to. How many cars from the 50s let alone the 30's pre war do you still see on the road ? They also become so expensive normal folks cant afford them anymore.
