1970 240Z HLS30- 06026 For Sale (original)
Seems like a mostly original survivor here. Prices for early 240z's have gone up. I'd go with motorman that's a 15k car. Maybe a bit more for a serious investor/collector.

Black Dragon Closing
Best way is to put it in a container or something with somebody else, who is shipping parts or a car. Air freight is very expensive. One thing I don't understand is that they charge ALOT when shipping from the US > EU, but when I send the same package EU > US, I pay alot less here... I find it strange. Are they over charging us Europeans, to make an extra buck on shipping ?

theft prevention
- Make an anchor point in concrete, and put a heavy grade anti theft chain over the front suspension crossmember to lock it. - 2 Pits on a chain sleeping next to the car - A good theft Insurance

My Datsun 240Z
I am just back from a road trip through Germany, Austria and Czech Republic. This year was with the 1970 Mustang, but next year will be 2 weeks and with the 240z ! ( Swiss, Italy, Monaco and Spain for 2017 roadtrip ! ) Gas $$ was really to much with the Mustang hehe, I've burned close to a 1000 euro on fuel.. Here's a few nice pictures We visited the Speyer Museum this time, and again the US car meeting in Sinsheim ( over 700 cars !, next year they will hold it 2 days ! ) I've also visited " the Kehlsteinhaus " which is on the Obersalzberg, which is the late house of the dictator Adolf Hitler. It's almost 2 km up. Very nice views !

Cash offered at stoplight for my 240Z #907
Well that sounds fair then. But most 240z's ive seen here that where for sale in the range of 15k, all need a complete resto, and then that price is really to much, even though it's a collectible. But maybe this is what the market demands ? Would you buy a rotten 2000gt for 500k just because the market says so ? Maybe.. if you are a millionaire.. but not with common sense.

Cash offered at stoplight for my 240Z #907
Yes Mart, it's crazy they ask 15k euro here for a 240z that needs to be restored. Alot of people think they can ask big bucks just because it's a classic not looking at the state it is in... A while ago I saw a totally rotten 67 Shelby Mustang on Ebay, and the guy wanted 60k or something, totally nuts !
-
is it worth it?
That one is shot, please leave it there, it's rotten all over. It's a good one for parts. But the million dollar question here is what in your opinion is the right one for the right price ?! Good ones ( for restoration ) start between 10/15k these days.

Fuel Sender Leak
If it's leaking wih the electrical connections, better get a new sender, or replace it with a used one that doesn't leak. Yeah the lock ring is supposed to pass the notches. ( New sender comes with a new o-ring, or else like said above, get an o-ring that is fuel resistant

Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
I think back in the day a production car of 1970 could have used some 69 parts, even a 72 could have used 70 parts laying around in the factory. I see that evidence on many 240z's.. The small features on the cars change slowly over the years they where build, but some later models still used some early parts.
