  1. better do a complete overhaul of the brake system, this is something you don't want to save money on !
  2. Naah...it's fluoride and all the other stuff they put in the GMO foods !
  3. Could it be that new cars have to much technology and computers assisting in driving that people are forgetting to learn how to actually drive a car ? Do you think people in 2050 will know how to operate a 1970's car with manual choke?
  4. Finally someone who comes up with this ! I live here in The Netherlands, and it's really bad, to much idiot drivers imo, don't know what's going on ? Also they can't maintain constant travelling speeds which is very annoying.. and all those speed bumps and speed regulations here don't help either.. This country is really to small to enjoy some cruise, except the highway, it's constantly slowing down and accelerating.. All the points i've read above here, it's also here..like the high beams etc, alot actually.. By the way you should check out traffic in Russia it's mad !

  6. Good news... seems the diff finally arrived... I'm going to pick it up next saturday, let's wait and see
  7. 556 that's worth saving...imo, seems the engine number is matching to ? To bad I live on the other side of the pond... 1800 ( 1300 euro )is a steal for a 240z with that low vin.
  8. It's the master cylinder, replace it with a new ( aftermarket ) one.. then refill with dot4.
  9. Yesterday I re-polished my mag wheels again...lot's of elbow grease First wet sand to max 1000 grit, then polished it by hand with Autosol. Took me about 6 hours for all 4.
  10. Not mine, but from my dad. There's more ( better ) pictures in his photo album, will need to look it up. He also lost track of it. I'm still trying to figure out the build date... and if it was a Dutch one or imported. It had the entire front end replaced en new paint job. This should be late 70's/ early 80's somewhere..
  11. Another step further What I Always do with the tie rods, so you don't have to break a sweat or destroy any tools is just heat up the outer housing, then slightly wake it up with a hammer on top, and it will pop out easily.
  12. 60 liters is large here, some german cars hold 85 liters or more. With the fuel prices here that's not gonna make you happy.
  13. Happy new year everyone

I believe they do it, because fireworks under the public is banned there ?
  15. You wouldn't be able to find it if you tried, nestled deep in the Chiba-ken countryside, a stone-throw away from the new Sodegaura Forest Raceway. This is where magic happens, you feel it the instant you set foot inside one of the garages where restoration projects are underway. Car Builder>> Ta Auto | Speedhunters
  16. Yeah I noticed it to...
  17. Undercoating also has a function of protection against road debris , and all sorts of functions... if only paint, it will easily be damaged. What you think the wheel will throw around in the wheel well when driving on the road ?
  18. Nothing, she got enough attention allready
  19. Thanks. Yeah I believe that's what the original information says also. Took the 240Z out for a drive partly in Germany again today. The weather was not so good. But it was a nice cruise again There's a few things on my mind, firstly the whining of the differential. My patience is running dry waiting for the diff from the US. If it will not show up in Januari I will be bringing away my current differential for a rebuild. Secondly I'd really like the have a 5 speed for both overdrive/lesser fuel consumption and more speed on highway, since I feel the engine has power enough on the light car. But I don't like to modd it with later era parts...
  20. Those 50's trucks are awesome ! My brother likes to have one, but their are really expensive here
  21. Looks like those JDM fenders, not my cup of tea. But some people like em. I personally like the original look of the Z car.
  22. It's been weeks and I haven't seen wet floors since I repaired it ( see above ). @ jwtaylor, I'm borrowing your pic, to give my idea of what's the problem. The red line indicates the lowest part of the cowl, and the road which the rain water needs to flow through, to both sides where the draines are. The yellow indicates the main water blocking area, and also where the biggest rust occurs. The green indicates the factory seal. In my opinion the factory seal is to thick, creating a " dam " so the rain water can't go out easily, and it also lets some water remain standing infront of the seal, causing rust and eventually a leak.. What I did was scrape all the old seal off, in the entire cowl, so the surface is smooth ( allowing rain water to flow easily to the sides ), and applied a layer of rubber coating, which does 2 jobs all at once ( seal and help guide rainwater ).
  23. ^ I went to K 2013, the worlds largest plastics and 3d printing demonstrations there. I have to say impressive. But those machines are pretty expensive.
