I use super only. 93 in Ga.
  2. Carl, big thanks for the info! Great to see this blue Z finding a place in line. So interesting to piece together the different runs they made.
  3. Got her running smooth this afterrnoon with help from John Williams here in Atlanta. Amazing to have Z talent like this nearby. Now she's starting easily, revving strong and shifting smooth. Still a long way to go. It's so bizarre to not have a 3rd pedal. Had to go with a manual shift from 1 to 2 to D once just to feel all the gears working. Once I got some confidence up I even kicked it a bit and felt it (automatically!) downshift to 2nd, RPMs came up and I felt some of that 43 year old torque. Very cool to drive this.
  4. This AC Cobra replica looks fun... Automotive Restorations, Inc.

Nice shots! Looks like good shape overall. Were the rear hatch vents covered over?
  6. Very cool car. Nice work inside! Here's more of this one with another layer of dirt scrubbed off. I'm very surprised on paint in the engine bay. Check out the E31 head too...
  7. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm leaning towards originality at this point. Series 1 - rare. Blue exterior and blue interior - more rare. Still automatic after all these years - way more rare! Door panels exist but are in rough shape. I did find new blue tunnel vinyl. Here's what it probably looked like in the 80's and what the interior should look like. Hope I can get it this good again!
  8. Here's a few more pics. Some cleaning started here...
  9. It's not just blue / blue, it's the automatic too. If I start changing that to manual - I might as well go all the way! Cool car for sure...
  10. Here's HLS30-14821 - A California car that made her way to TN in the mid 90's and recently on to GA. This is a numbers matching blue all over Z. Production date is 11/70. It's got all the Seires 1 goodies. Rear hatch vents, vertical defrost, speedo starts at 20, 140 lbs oil guage, knob on the gas door, solid steering wheel and plastic tool boxes behind seats that don't lean up. There's rust in a few of the normal spots and a good bit of work to do, but overall this is a survivor. It's had only one paint job and needs another one bad. Looks like a tree hit the drivers door. Other than that rails are solid and straight and no major body damage. It came with a ton of records too. A notebook full of CA shops doing normal maintenance and a TN title. Via Google in less than 3min I happend to be able to find and contact the 2nd owner who drove it from ~75k to 150k and he told me a lot of history on the car. He may want it back. He flipped out that I called! What's somewhat unique about this one is that it's an automatic that still unchanged after 43 years and almost 200,000 miles. I've been working on my red '73z, so this one will probably go to another home soon. I really want to keep this car, as I'll probably never see another Series 1, but I can't bring myself to drive blue over blue. The purist in me says sell to someone who will keep it totally as-is stock as possible. The enthusiast in my says keep it and strip it all down, start from scratch and give it the colors scheme, a 5spd manual and a ton of upgrades that I want so I can have a Series 1 and then sell my other Z. I've got access to parts and great mechanic in Atlanta wrenching on it to work his magic. I'll be working on interior and electrical for now. This is a great find. Let me know if this is the dream car you've been looking for. Here's day 1:
  11. I'm thinking about picking up a late Series 1 that has auto... but I'd rather put a 5spd in it. If I do this... maybe you can use that tranny.
  12. We've got some bumpers, but shipping adds a ton to these. I came across this cam... seems to be NOS, still in the wrapper.

Here's 10 old Z's lined up at a recent Caffeine and Octane in Alpharetta, GA. Great turnout!
  14. Here's a pic of the 73 bumpers and the heavy hangers (in red) below. Want to save weight up front? These are about 30 lbs or more. The 72 has a much lighter front bracket and the tighter fitting bumper.
  15. Ah yes, sorry. No Series 1 doors. Only doors/ hinges at this time need some major elbow grease.
  16. We don't have one at this time. More stuff should be coming in though...
  17. For now we have some '73s. More parts are coming in though. Thanks for the orders guys!
  18. Check out this find...not one, but two Series 1 AM radios. The shop owner has suggested these go up on eBay for maximum exposure. That's probably the route I'll take unless someone here wants to offer up something realistic. These are raw and not tested just yet.
  19. We've got a couple tanks. Dents and rust free? Not so much. Also have a few sets of bumpers with good chrome and several more that need some work. Local pickup preferred. Shipping anywhere in the world for the right price. A few more pics.
  20. @ JCB and Virto - most of what's available is 240z related. I'm headed to the shop today and I'll look anyway. @ Homeboyx - I'll take a full set of pics on the wheels and email them to you. Please PM me with an email address or I can post them to my Imageshack hosting site. thanks for everyone's interest and patience!
  21. Requests added... and no laughing here. Such things do still exist.
  22. I'm planning to spend some time at his shop later this week / weekend, as he's been working odd hours. Parts should be moving this weekend. More info to come...
  23. We have some bumpers. How "nice" is subjective. They will all need to be re-chromed. What year are you looking for?
  24. The request list is long and we're trying to pull as many parts off the shelf and get pics out to everyone. Thanks for your patience. Some new pics posted on the ad.
  25. I'm searching and calling... MSA, Blackdragon, the Z Store... and a bunch of other guys that Google sends me to - all out of Tokicos. The North American distributor went bankrupt. Anyone have other (adjustable) shock options or a line on some Illumina shocks that someone stocks? There's got to be a set on a shelf somewhere. Maybe I need to expand the search to Europe, Asia or South America.
