I bought a set of hi tech extractors today and now have the 260z ones up for sale. Can't wait to put that motor in with the 5spd.

How much too close do the z one's go. Is it when the steering is turned or all the time. Could they be modified? Those z's look so good.

I got a set of hpc coated extractors on a 260z motor I just bought. Before I look into modifying just wanted to check if anyone in the Brisbane area had a set of 240k extractors they would swap or sell me. Thanks Cam

I think the flares you have gone with look much better than the model. What about the grille? Can I see a front view. Looks great. Not sure if it is the same one but youtube has a blue coupe posted by keith g. Same car? If it is the same it sounds fantastic and I have been wondering what engine, exhaust, carb combo it runs. I think so, no one really goes on about the l26, but offers I had for l28 where ridiculous. In fact everyone was chasing stupid money (imo) for all of them except this one. Main reason I bought it was that the su's had been set up for this motor, hopefully less stuffing around and just drop it in with the 5 spd. I am secretly expecting to find a mod cam under that cam cover too. Wait and see.

Advertised on gumtree recently for l24 l26 l28 engines and got a few responses. I bought one today. L26 complete, twin dome top su, filter housing and hpc coated extractors which u don't think will fit. Fresh head and was running well when taken out for v8 conversion.

I haven't been questioned about selling once yet when out driving. Lots of looks and points, feels like not many people know what it is. I don't really care if they ask to buy as long as they don't steal it.

Buying lenses only would be a cheap alternative.

When I cleaned the Aussie ones the lenses where quite difficult to get off. I just used something like all clear from memory. The jap lenses almost fell out when I was cleaning them. Used a black sealant I had a work because it was free. Used it sparingly so not too messy.

You could also try the OZDAT site. Skylines Australia forum also has a classic skylines section.

Finally fitted the jdm taillights today. Easy as and looks great.

My blue and new parts car where 3 1/2 hours each way but you gotta get em when you find em.

Looks a lot like the colour of the first one I had 15 years ago. Where did you find it, how did it happen?

Last one I sold I was as a roller so it was easier to load up. Will probably do the same with this one eventually but will let you know anyway.

It seems like 90% of 240k whole cars seem to get relisted either on ebay or gumtree. May be various reasons for this to happen but I would guess buyers trying to negotiate lower prices on pick-up or not even turning up. Very frustraring I bet.

Has had a few parts taken off it over the years sitting at a wreckers but overall pretty complete. Hope to strip it out then sell off some parts to re-coupe some money. Maybe. Long term plan. If I do I will be sure to post parts list here first.
