It looks like a 71 that was made early in the year not one made in 70 and registered as 71. The "late" 71's had holes in the spokes and side air vents. Also the air cleaner added the summer/winter sdjustment. I think in 72 the ashtray got moved back in the console. Another thing to check is the tool storage area. In 71 the openings are on top and not in the riser. Both my 70 and late 71 have the info tag on the strut housing.

I'm looking for an air cleaner without the summer/winter adjustment. Only need outer shell.

I have to agree with Carl. It is the sellers of small or light items that charge high shipping to cover not getting a high selling price that gets me. I've had four rims from Washington cost $35 and a grille from the same state set me back $27. Identical spare tire covers varied by $15 between the two coasts (shipped to Iowa). I guess I shouldn't complain as long as the merchandise arrives in good condition. A $50 windshield for a 70 only cost me $12 to ship. The reason it was so cheap was it was only wrapped in two layers of bubble wrap. Bet you can't guess how that arrived! Or do they all bow and make funny sounds? I haven't opened it, just cut a small hole in the wrap. Foolish enough to stick my finger in and was rewarded with two nice chards. Since there aren't many Z's left around here, I'll have to stay at the mercy of ebay sellers. Most of them have been great to do business with.

My 70 has the original tires and they are Bridgestone 175SR14. I think around 71 or 72 they went to the HR.

When this car came on ebay, I wondered how long before the smack talk started here. If I hadn't been watching the start of the 500 this would have been mine. You people talk about low cost parts cars and thats what this was. Even listed under parts and accesories. Remember some of us live in areas that don't have junkyards full of old Z's to pick parts from so something like this nearby is a real find. I talked to the owner, and they were very upfront about everything. At least they posted pics which is more than some sellers do with cars they ask alot more for. It might not have met your standards or needs, but I bet I will pay alot more than what this car sold for just to get a good windshield shipped in from someplace where it hasn't been YEARS since seeing a first generation Z on the road. Not to mention all the other little parts that everyone likes to have on hand that seem to be difficult to find no matter where one lives. Sorry about the rant but it hasn't been my day- my favorite driver got black flagged for passing on yellow too.
