  1. Thanks for all the input guys! I will actually be going to check out the vehicle next weekend. The owner said the car has been stored for about 15 years. It was his wifes car, which she purchased from her family. So they are the second owner of this vehicle. I will definitely keep in mind all the things you guys mentioned! Will keep you guys updated as well.
  2. Thanks for the input and information guys! Hes pretty firm with 2900, tried talking him down to 2500 but he won't budge. Hopefully when i go down to see it in person and thoroughly inspect it he'll be a little flexible. But yikes, replacing that dash will cost 1000-1500? Will a series II dash fit with the same center console?
  3. Hello all, I am in the process of buying a 72 240z. And would like your thoughts on if I should pull the trigger and buy the vehicle. It is a rust free car, all original paint. Has about 130 xxx plus miles. Car does not run, needs clutch and brake cylinder replaced. Seller is seeking $2900 for it and I am wondering what do you guys think about the asking price ? Car will need new interior, dash has a few cracks, and I'm not even sure if motor will run after fixing clutch and brake cylinder. The body itself is in solid condition minus a dent on the hood. It is not a local seller so I have not seen the car in person as well.
  4. Thanks for the quick reply.
  5. Hello folks, So I have an early 70-72 240z bumper with bumper guards. My question is: Are the bumper guards from a late 73 240z interchange-able with the early 70-72 240z bumpers? I have also broken off the bolts on the front bumper that is used to connect onto the bumper brackets, Is the bumper still salvageable? The bolts were very rusty and completely broke off while trying to unscrew them. What can I do to fix the broken bolts on the bumpers? Thanks
  6. Nope, not the same one but that yellow one listed on craigslist looks very clean, just out of my price range though.
  7. The car is from wisconsin. Thanks for the advice fellas, I decided to pass on this car. He was asking for $7000, figured his asking price is a bit too high to have to fix any structural rust. Thanks again!
  8. I am planning to buy my first datsun and I need some input if I should go ahead and get this car. Car is fairly clean, engine bay is very nice but I need advice on this area of the frame rail. Is this anything major that I should be concern about? Does it just need patching or will the frame rail need to be replaced?
