  1. I was going to put a sliding airvent on the bottom side of the scoop to allow more air flow in the cockpit (my spin on a sun roof but without glass and only for air purposes) because it gets so freakin hot at times in the drivers seat. But then I started thinking about it and living in Portland it rains 70% of the year, no real nead to start cutting holes that could potentially leak. So right now it just servse as a scoop to provide down force on the body.
  2. Not to be rude why is this all in my parting with my Z thread? This should all be in its own thread....
  3. Offers??? Took her out of the garage last week
  4. Its not that the magic has left, or my interest have changed, its just that my prioritys have. No matter how much I love my Z, I love my son and the life my wife and I have come acustome to more then the car. The way I see it at the moment is I can part with the car, or I can part with my home (and we all know that will cause all kinds of problems down the road). I love the Z, its my 4th one and took me just over 3 years to build in my garage. My first Z was a forest green 70 auto stocker that I accidently wrecked when I was 16. After that I bought a 73 shell that I had planned on putting a 327 into but someone offered me enough money for the shell that I parted with the project. Which gave me the funding to buy a 72 that I put a small block 302 in that I turned into a 351 roller motor tubed out the car 10pt cage etc., that car was tons of fun but got me into a lot of trouble and once again got an offer I couldnt refuse. Then I found this one sitting in a garage un touched for over 20 years just waiting for someone to build it up and get it back on the road again. I planned for this Z to be my kids college fund long before I even had a kid. Back when I first bought it I got custom plates with the name I was going to name my son (back in 2003) and finally when I had a son in 2008 I kept the same name I planned 5 years prior to him being born. This car was supposed to be his college tuition, trust me I never planned on selling. But then again I never planned on being jobless with a 9 month old either.... Sadly plans change.
  5. Well I have a 1995 Hard Top Supra that I take him for rides in. With the Supra I have room for him and my wife, its just that the Z is the most impractical of all my toys for my lifestyle now so unfortunately I think its going to be the first to go :/
  6. I have had this Z for a while now and am considering parting with it well, because times are tough and I need money.... (If I didnt need the money Id hold on to this Z forever.) Im the second owner of this Z and it has slightly over a whopping 45K original miles on it. The owner before myself purchased it brand new when he lived in Cali and blew the motor in 78 when he was moving to Washington, and it sat in the garage of his house in Washington untill I picked it up in 2002. (Last active registration expired in 1984) I first just got it running having to swap the motor out since the old one was not salvageable, drove it around for about 8 months before I decided to do an all out build on it. Since its been "built" its won 4 1st place trophys to the 4 shows I brought it to and has mainly sat in my own garage as a show piece. I have a 9mo old son so cant really drive this car with him with me (no room for the car seat). So I am tinkering with the idea of selling it. This Z has an insured value of $24k through SafeCo Insurance and can provided papers to prove. Im not asking $24k but wouldnt want to stray too far away from that number as thats the insured value from 2 years ago (value has risen since then). If anyone might be interested or know of an extream collector that might want to add this to their garage please let me know as Im open to offers. (please do not low ball). Im selling it because it has cost me to much money, and that I have way to many cars in the drive way. If you have any questions about the car feel free to ask.

  13. SOLD This is a 73' Z that I had gotten and just haven’t had time to do anything with (located in Portland, OR). It has shaved doors, and a pretty straight body, minor ding on rear fender. Selling as is (no engine or tranny) for $400 obo, or $450 obo with diamond plate for the floorboards. There will need to be some rust repair work done on the usual spots for a z, there is no interior except for the dash. (Have seats and an engine & tranny for it if wanted. Engine does not run and seats need cleaning. These will be free with purchase if wanted). If any one is intrested please e-mail me at Speedy6777@attbi.com , and please ask any questions that you may have. Thanks for looking and good luck.
  14. How are the frame rails? Also how are the wheel wells? Those rust more then anything on the z cars. Do you have more pics?
  15. You can buy them from motorsportauto.com.
