  1. Thanks again for sharing all your knowledge. Born and raised in MN so after 22 yr Army career I wanted to return. Too much rainy, cloudy days in OR but beautiful!! Land of 10,000 Lakes is not bad either. Can't wait until I get my Z done and drive on nice sunny spring or fall day. CHEERS
  2. Thanks for your 2 cents and I agree with you after further research. I decided against the McGard lug nuts or lock because the found a site called SFX Performance Parts that sell a Gorilla OEM lug nut, and lock as well, that basically fit almost all 4 lug Datsun/Nissan. I found out this weekend, when I was able to look at my Z, that the lug nuts on the Appliance wire mesh wheels were stamped with DATSUN '68-'71. I interpret this to mean that my wheels fit factory lug nuts. If anyone needs this info in the future the part numbers for lug nut set and lock set are as follows: 73128T and 73621T. By the way, I think these wheels are awesome!! LOVE Eugene,OR but love my MN Vikings more so will stay in MINNESOTA.
  3. Gold black man, I think I bought wrong lugs-probably roto lugs will not work. Received email from gratiotwheel this am and he clarified that appliance wire mesh had 2 wheels-one takes shank lug and one roto lug. I have shank lugs on now. Massey's on eBay thought i needed roto so sent them pix of wheels and lugs-my order is now cancelled. I jumped the gun when I should have waited for all the email replies. Now I know I can get a McGard wheel lock set. Thanks for input.
  4. I ended up buying 12MM1.254 roto lug nuts with 13/16 hex head for use on appliance wheels through Ebay-.Massey's. Said there were no locks available. Gratiotwheel said he can get a McGard lock set but did not share stock #. I found a McGard shank lock set on Ebay that I think would work but just need confirmation.
  5. I'm looking for new wheel locks that will fit Appliance wire mesh wheels from the '70's on my '76 280z-wheels 14x6 front and 14x7 on rear. Does anyone know the wheel lock that would work, especially McGard or Gorilla??? I have locks on now but chrome chipped and rusting. No, I don't know the brand of the current locks that are on wheels.
  6. Thanks for sites. Probably will buy from one or both.
  7. Anyone can respond, but Arne if you are out there you could probably answer this question. I have the Appliance wheels purchased in the '70's on my '76 280z silver and would like to put new lug nuts on. Where can I buy them??? Only need 12 cuz I put lock on at that time. Thanks :classic:
  8. I have decided to use Just Dashes!!
  9. That's interesting cuz I've talked to them several times and actually was told exactly how they do it. Everything is rebuilt new on the dashboard frame. You have 2 options: have them send you any dash that has been refinished and you send yours to them after you get new one, or send them yours for refinishing. That way you know it will be an exact match and fit perfectly. No previously bent frame, etc that was not noticeable. Top material is way better than what was used in the '70's. Now I will have to ask them if they send it out which I just did and you are correct. They send out to a vendor. Do you who the vendor is??

Looking for seat mechanism covers (both sides, especially drivers) that are on the side of seats to cover seat belt mechanism. If so, what condition and price??
  11. Do you still have the seat mechanism covers (both sides) that are the bottom of Z seats. Asking about for '76 280z. If so, what condition??
  12. Thanks so much. Company called zcarsource.com refinishes dashboard and replaces old foam as well as covers in new better material than in the '70's. Do charge $300 more and they take your old dashboard. Think I'm going to use them. Now need to find someone to remove and install here in Twin Cities area, MN. Was told it was quite a project.
  13. Thanks, but I want new emblems with pins. Finally found some!!!
  14. That's what I thought. I'll keep looking for the 280z emblem or use 2nd option. Thanks
  15. Wow, that looks great. Can I ask how much it cost?? I'm in Minnesota so suppose shipping kind of expensive?
  16. I saw those on ebay but my emblems are flat on backside. Probably they were broken when removed from Z?? Don't there have to be some part to plug into clips?
  17. Thanks. I need to mention that I have the original emblems but they were removed years ago when I repainted Z. I think you need clips or whatever to attach them again??? That's why I am searching for new or properly refinished ones. The only one I have not found is the hatch 280z.
  18. I checked MSA and currently only have Datsun emblem for hatch. I will try Arizona Z car. Thanks.
  19. Original owner and bought in Hawaii when in military. Now in Minnesota but traveled many a mile while in Army. Anyway the dash has one pretty wide crack as well as a very small one. I've read all the info about repairing, etc BUT I really want a new one or a very nice refurbished one. Yah, I know they are expensive but... I've tried the dash cover years ago but that just warps. Besides zcarsource.com or msa, does anyone know where I can purchase??
  20. I'm original owner of 1976 Datsun 280z and currently reconditioning. Does anyone know where I can get the hatch emblem-280z as well as a dashboard (black)?? I've tried a dash cover so no interest in one of those.
