1970 Datsun 240Z $2500
Kind of rude don't you think? Low production number 240Z the parts are worth more. Its not everyday you see a 70 240Z for $2500 is it?

1970 Datsun 240Z $2500
Yes. I have a deep love for these cars. In fact there is a few guys that are willing to help me get a title for it so I am on the fence of selling it. Cash is king though!

What's in YOUR garage?
Ok where to start! I have and had soooo many cars. In my garage now is a 73 duster 67 barracuda 63 fury 86 Fiero 88 suzuki samurai. Just sold a 69 Dayton original but not numbers matching 71 hemi CUDA convertible restomod 70 challenger and last but not least 2004 dodge rumble bee. It's the very first rumble bee ever produced! I have all the papers from Chrysler for it. Sad thing is in the last year or so the Dayton and 71 restomod CUDA had to be sold. Oh I forgot my 1970 Datsun 240Z as well. It's not in my garage but in my carport so every time I come home I see it and work on it

1970 240z
2 things are very ironic about your story. First is mine also hasn't been ran in a good 10 years. I did start it last year but was only for 1 min. Second ironic thing is your name. My name is also Robert S Liao.

First Z purchase
I have a 1970 240Z project and I have 4 daughters so I feel your pain but NOTHING makes it more satisfying as when you do the work and you know its done right.

1970 240z
Well I am on my way so far of starting the restoration of my original #s matching 240z. I havent been on here in some time but today I got off work early and started the engine to make sure it was worth saving. The car over all is in good condition. The engine and trans are almost new. The car was a old restoration but the guy that did the restoration passed away right after it was completed! I still have the original registration sticker that wasn't even put on the plate yet. The bad thing is after he passed someone left it set outside. We all know what happens. So it has no floors and some surface rust here and there but I think I can save this car. I haven't got the title transferred over yet. I know I know im lacking big time but its been signed and notarized already all I have to do it get it switched over to my name. If I can get it switched over then I guess I part it out Here is a video of him running.

1970 Datsun 240Z restoration.
Well like I said it was restored before so the rest of the car is good even the underside. There is some surface rust on the A arms but it comes off easy. I will put more thought in it after vacation. I would hate to part out such a rare car just to get another car. I am what they call a very rare breed of human. I am 100% for automotive. Most say I get way to caught up into my hobby.

1970 Datsun 240Z restoration.
So far I cut out some good sheet metal and need to do some cutting and grinding inside the car yet. Got a set of brand new bucket seats!!! There out of a neon that my friend had. He wanted leather interior so when he bought the car the stock seats sat in his garage. There really nice and a perfect design for what I want. The seats that came with the car I think were out of a later year 280. There blue and silver. The sad thing is I fell into another deal but the wife says NO MORE CARS hahah. Not sure if I want to sell this one or not. Not even sure what its worth?

What do y'all think of this color?
Almost looks like a metallic teal. Not a bad color. Add some clear to a panel and see what you have. I am having a tough choice myself trying to figure out what color I want to paint my 70 240z. I start with black then I go to pearl white then when I get fed up thinking of a color I said screw it im just going to rhino line it haha.

1970 Datsun 240Z restoration.
Sorry been a while. I haven't done anything more to the car due to some family issues. I would like to look at the carbs. The reason is because it is using WAY to much fuel. I have never messed with carbs that look like this. Where do I start? Any pics would help much.

Rim research for my 1978 280Z

1970 Datsun 240Z restoration.
Oh I do agree with you at a point. It all depends on how the floors are put in and who does it. km not looking to do a back yard job on them at all. I know putting stock would help if the car was stock but as you see there is some body mods done to it already. I fully plan on making this car my daily driver for warm weather. That being said PA roads are extremely bad! So I will also be adding extra frame supports under it. Might not look stock but will look very professional. I do love the comments and that is what I want. If I didnt want opinions I wouldn't of even posted it. I need your guys help on some issues and the best way is find those who have done these type of cars before. Right now I am in the middle of taking the carbs off to clean and inspect them good. The car uses way to much fuel. Had it running at idle for a good 5 min and almost used 2 gallons of fuel haha. I will not be v8ing this car. Nothing wrong with the 2400cc straight six and is good on gas.
