Hi Gav, there's a reason those autotechnica seats are a "bargain". i bought my seats from auto barn and had a look at the autotechnica's. the autobarn guy actually warned me off them, apparently they only juuust pass the ADR requirements. and yeah they are heavy and i found them really tight and uncomfortable. auto barn (in sydney anyway) are reps for the SAAS line of seats, see if they have a catalogue

hey you guys are goin alright! im getting 200 kays out of a tank:disappoin
  6. when i was using them they worked better than the hitachi's. mine are the "emission" variant (NOT FLATOPS!) the needle is on a little spring but this doesnt effect performance at all. otherwise they are the same as a standard SU. dont know why they were better than the hitachi, they had a crisper throttle responce.

holy crap! what did you do to em?
  8. those carbs look like genuine SU's i have a pair just like em, they arent the 240z hitachi copies. i wouldnt mind the blinker switch, turning left is beginning to be a pain the the arse.

Hi Gav, have a look at a pair of black SAAS seats, racing style with the harness holes in the headrest but with the adjustable back rest. ive had mine for a couple of years, they were a pain in the arse to fit ( i used the original seat rails :dead: ) but they are good on a track, good for long drives and look S*!T hot. most decent auto part stores in Oz can order them in if they dont have one lying around. check out www.saas.com.au edit : the seat is called the dominator

a quick question to find out why alot of you feel the 350z isnt a sportscar, If the 240z is a sportscar then why is the 350z, a 2 seater coupe, far outhandles, outbrakes and out accelerates a regular 240z, not one? ive had the pleasure of chasing a 350z around a race track in my very modified 240 and i can safely say watching the 350 drift through corners and the way the car responded to throttle and an enthousiastic driver (before passing him down the straight :classic: ) that there was nothing unsporting about it.

I used R180 shafts with an R200, worked fine. apparentley the R200 shafts are shorter to compensate for the wider diff, though with the range of movement the R180 shafts have inout wise is enough to work with the R200. i could be wrong but the R200 shafts i think have finer splines that are less prone to breakage? can someone confirm this?

looks like the car is a japanese local from the licence plate??? man theres alot of work in that. wiring harness brake lines, fuel rail, everthings hidden. looks like the lines for the oil cooler run through the inner guard!

    fuel injected L6!!!
  16. Brett240 replied to AndyG's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
i had a stage 3 in an L26 once... waste of time. for the money stuff the cam and pick up an L28 block and put your head and bits and pieces on that. heaps better. unless of course you want to keep the L24. with a stage 3 cam youll need 10.5:1 compression and upwards it to feel good.
  17. Hi Gav, do you mean the little cylinder that makes the blinkers blink? im after the stalk and guts that bolts onto the steering column. if your talking about the stalk you can get bits for them at repco?
  18. top stuff, thanks im off to the wreckers this weekend.
  19. hehe yeah might be a bit counter productive to my bank account shipping a junkyard wheel across the pacific. what year model Maxima had the temp spare? definitly 4 stud?
  20. tried to put on my 14 inch spare the other day and it doesnt fit becouse of my brake/suspension mods. im chasing a wheel 16 inches or bigger with standard datto stud pattern. also has anyone got a decent blinker switch they want to sell? im about to go through rego and i cant turn left...

yeah sick division are pretty good, i bought my first spoiler off them, put it on, had an excursion in the wet ans smashed it into a million bits. then got the next one off fibresports for $... less!!!
  22. Brett240 replied to 260DET's post in a topic in Australia & NZ
260det, FYI, the sick division and fibresports dam are one and the same. fibresports have the mold for them and hence sell them cheaper. edit, check out my gallery for a closup of that spoiler

it tells me he could run 11's with fuel injection! just jokes!
  24. Brett240 replied to 260freak's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
260freak, if you already have a p90 head stay with it and get it shaved till you have about 48cc combustion chambers, theres no need to use more money on another head if you dont have too. with the bore size of the 3.1 you wont have a low compression, should be about 10.4:1, use L24 rods. if you are running it on the street but also on the track crow australia make a stage 3 cam which is a good comprimise, and some porting, especially the exhaust - what dan said- ive seen a motor built like this using fuel injection make over 200kw at the wheels (285 hp?) on a dyno and its awesome! (it had an open exhaust however)
