Agreed from above! I look forward to your progress. bvolken your Z looks awesome too! I filled up "Kiddy's Classic - Automotive Restoration Cost Calculator" to the way i would want my project Z to be stock original show quality and it came to $79,525 and it's not even Concours! Man I need to win a lottery

1970 Series I 240Z Unique Parts
I restored my dash and noticed the glove compartment lock is chrome not concaved versus to stainless. The Temp and Oil guage plates have different graphics and larger in size comparison to later year overlapped over the early one.

'70 Rear Brake Outer Tabs?
Any 1970 240Z owners out there willing to help? I will have to grind them off anyways but i'm curious to know the purpose of them.

'70 Rear Brake Outer Tabs?
I'm puzzled by these tabs that run along the back edges of the rear brake panel of a '70. They are rusted out so kind of hard to tell what they are. I don't have them on my stock '72. Forget my '71, it's been modified with disc brakes. Does anyone know exactly what these tabs are for and what they actually look like? I've searched for images with no luck.

[2015] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Please note i'm not a Professional only an Amateur with little experience learning for the first time. I purchase new tools as I need it. Patcon - Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the rotten floors who previously replaced it was not a good job. I used a Stretcher/Shrinker hand tool to shape the sheet metal. gnosez - Thanks. I've done it and going to add an extra strength along that area as well. Oiluj - This is my first time operating a 220V Mig gas welder, practicing on inconspicuous areas until I become better at it. I spent most of the day today just on this patch work.

Hagerty Auction Results Interesting But Maybe Troubling
I wonder if James Bond 007 drove a Datsun 240Z instead of that darn Toyota 2000GT made a difference in value of our Z. We would all be millionaires! (not)

Low Vin 240z, is this a good thing?
I've read that it was gonna take a couple of months to complete this project? I know it's been over a couple of years now but I'm just curious to see more new update photos of your zed if there are any available?

Let the bidding commence!
Good grief! For that price and only 3 photos? Common on!

Buying a 240z. input needed?
That zed is in pretty good condition overall to what I see from the photos especially for that price. It only seems neglected and hopefully if you buy it, you can revive it back to its glory. It even has AC!

Thanks man. You guys motivated me!

Window NOT lining up
Well, I picked up some washers I think would work from a hard rubber grommet and nylon insert. So I started to grind off that permanent post. While working in the garage to look for some nuts and bolts in my "assorted pile section":) I grabbed to toss something away and long and behold I found these tarp eyelets that looked exactly what i'm looking for right under my nose! What a fluke! They fit perfectly with a bit of mod. I don't know if I should change the other original one or leave it? I'll be packing them with grease once I install it. The next challenging part is to assemble it back together inside the door which i think is going to be hard.

Window NOT lining up
Best advise so far! Thanks guys for all your input, really helps a lot. In over 30 years of owning a 240z this is the first time i've encountered this problem. I'm checking around at some stores for nylon washers and when I find some i'll make the attempt as Cap'n Obvious suggested... I'll mail the regulator! hahaha!

Window NOT lining up
Thanks Zed Head, the rollers on mine looks pretty solid and you're right jfa.series1, it's unfortunate to not able to replace the washers since the rollers seems to be permanently pressed in with the washer. What a bummer to buy a whole regulator assembly just for that washer! and only if they are still available? I'm brainstorming in the garage and looking at these parts in explosive pieces on my hood right now. Cheers and thanks again for the help!

Window NOT lining up
I took the inside window apart and everything looks tight and straight except for these two broken plastic washers that goes into the roller arms of the regulator. Anyone knows if these washers are still available or do I have to buy a whole new regulator just for a couple of plastic washers? Could the washers be the culprit? Unless something else is misaligning the window, any ideas? Thanks.

Window NOT lining up
Thank you so much Zed Head for your help and the Tech Article. I took the door panel off to look for any broken pieces inside the door and check for any mis-aligning along the frame channel. Nothing I could find to be wrong or broken. This article will sure help me guide along, I was afraid to remove the whole window assembly out and not be able to put it back properly. I will update once I take it apart.
