  1. Cant wait to see some tear down pics! Have you looked under the battery tray, doglegs, frame rails, and spare tire well? These are usually hot spots for rust. I believe the stock 280Z shaft will work. I may be wrong though.
  2. Score! Well when it gets nice you'll have to drive it up so I can check it out.
  3. What kinda projects do you have going on? Have you gotten your Z driving yet? Yes they do. Though it feels like I have about a million "little details" left to do
  4. Hmm. Good point. This was one I had that the PO installed. I'll see if I can find a different one.
  5. I got a few things done this week. Mostly little random stuff, still waiting on some parts for my cooling system so I can button that up. They should be here next week. Ordered all new OEM emblems. I told myself I would wait to put these on last but I coudnt help myself. They look so good. Also installed a new antenna. I may refurbish the original power one down the road. I cleaned up my inner fender plastics too I had to do another batch of plating so I just gave them all of my original hardware to be replated. There were some nuts and bolts that just didnt look "factory" enough for me so I will replace some here and there. Like the strut tower nuts were bugging me. The factory nuts are 14mm and the Fastenal ones I bought were 17mm. I wont replace everything, just the ones that bug me. I also started on my fuel system. I originally was going to use a Fuelab filter but decided it was going to be a bit overkill so I just got a new factory replacement and painted it black. My Fuelab regulator and pressure gauge
  6. Thanks for the concern guys! I'm doing a lot better this week, about 80%. I'll be taking it easy for awhile.
  7. My original power antenna wasnt working so I put in a universal manual antenna I bought off ebay. Doesnt look too bad.
  8. Unfortunately, I threw my back out this week so I couldnt get much done. Getting old sucks. Nonetheless my thermostat housing and hoses are on backorder anyway. So hopefully soon. Till then i'm doing little odds and ends like antenna, emblems, and stuff like that.
  9. Just waiting for parts. Some remaining components for my fuel system New thermostat housing New heater and radiator hoses New sensors and other misc. parts I should have it running in a week or so
  10. Well your garage is giving me some inspiration! I wonder if the wife will let me build a shop in the backyard. Hmm
  11. OMG your garage! Awesome! Just adding to Jims excellent advice, make sure to take thousands of pictures. Even if you dont think its important. Take pics of everything together, before you disassemble, while you disasemble, and after. I set up a google+ account so whenever I took a picture it automatically saves it on google+. It made it easy to go back and view my pictures while I was assembling. Plus if you break or lose your phone, youre pics will be automatically backed up. Good luck!
  12. Yeah Mike, that was the hose it came with. I will upgrade once it gets dirty.
  13. Mounted my new Circuit2 oil catch can.
  14. Yes sir! Its my original rear glass, just cleaned up.
  15. Hey Coe how you been? You still need to bring yours up so I can check it out. I need to ride in a Z its been forever. ::
  16. I got a new windshield and my rear hatch glass installed yesterday. I opted to have the professionals come out and do this job. Im glad I did because they did an amazing job. I used the Precision seals that I got with my weatherstrip kit and they thought they worked great. No gaps or anything. Still trying to decide to reinstall the metal trim.....
  17. Thanks for the invite! Canada is on my bucket list. Well I started back in September '13. So about a year and a half. I couldn't tell you the amount of hours put into it, but I will say there was many long weekends involved and a few hours a night. I would guess roughly 10 - 20 hours a week.
