  1. I will try the first one to see how it goes. If im not comfortable with it I will have a shop do it.
  2. Very soon! Still have some things to button up.
  3. I've only driven it for a few miles. The suspension feels pretty good though, should be interesting to feel the difference. I will hopefully start putting them in next week.
  4. Also the UPS man dropped these off for me.... Cant wait to get them installed!
  5. Today I got my car into the shop to install some paint protection film aka "clear bra". This is what I do for a living so it was fun to finally be able to do my Z! No need to worry about rock chips. I wrapped the entire hood, full fenders, air dam, and rockers. Heres a shot of a Ferrari 458 Speciale we did today too Wrapping the hood Working on the fenders All done!
  6. I have a 75 but its not the greatest condition
  7. I did something I really, really wish I hadn't......... I added up all of the receipts from my build
  8. Yeah im thinking 225/50 on a 15x8 should look just right
  9. Hi guys looking for help once again. I'm looking for new wheels and trying to get the right size tire. This is the look i'm going for, a 15" wheel with a little more meat than my 205/50's. Can anyone help my find out what size tire is on the beautiful 432? My guess is 225/50-15....
  10. Not sure why they're not listed on the BC site. JPN garage might just be an exclusive dealer
  11. Thanks guys, this is the write up that I followed step by step. https://fiddlingwithzcars.wordpress.com/2012/12/04/turn-signal-repair/ This one for the headlight switch http://www.kamikazeracing.org/dl/ZTech/Rebuild_240Z_combo_switch.pdf Thanks yeah I was looking into those. I heard they make your headlights and dash lights brighter too?
  12. Next I disassembled the headlight switch The headlight switch contacts are all dirty as well. Cleaned up Re-installed everything and the switches all work like new now! It was a lot easier than I thought, just takes some time and you have to be really careful taking things apart so you don't lose any small parts.
  13. So I've always had some issues with the turn signal and headlight switch. Headlights wouldn't always turn on, turn signals were intermittent and it would always feel clunky. I tried to squirt a bunch of white lithium grease into the mechanism but didnt really help.So I decided to tear them apart and rebuild them. Turn signal switch removed from column. Pretty nasty Disassembled Parts all cleaned up And the culprit....contacts had a bunch of carbon build up. A little sand paper took care of that. New lithium grease and re-installed everything.
  14. Worked on my parking lights today. I needed to extend my parking light harnesses about 18" to reach my stock plugs. Soldered all the connections. Heat shrink tubing over all connections Rewrapped and wire loom installed
  15. http://www.jpngarage.com/260Z-280Z-BC-br-coilovers-19745-to-1978-BR-74-78-280Z.htm
  16. Yep those are the same #s I have just checking, thanks
  17. If you dont mind, could you get me the part number off your springs? Whenever you get the chance
  18. That's what I was thinking! The only thing I was worried about was welding in the housing that close to the hub. I'm not sure if the welding will warp or do any damage to the bearings. I would like to do the install without having to replace all my new bearings.
  19. You leave 2" of the strut housing then the coilover slides right over then weld. No need to section the struts
  20. So being unsatisfied with my lowering springs I decided to bite the bullet and order these coilovers. I like the idea of having more adjustability in height, dampenining, and camber. You can even order custom spring rates. These are very good quality and I think a reasonable price. Has anyone had these installed? I will do a full review once I get them on the car. Heres a few pics of them installed (not mine)
  21. I did the standard 3 bolt camber plates and 6k front springs and 5k rear
  22. Here are some pics of these coilovers installed. (Not mine) They look like they're very good quality, and another nice thing is you can choose custom spring rates as well. I will do a full review once they're installed.
