    I guess ill have to test my car again in a big traffic jam with the ac on and see how it behaves before spending more money and throwing more devices in the engine bay

    I do have a fan shroud installed and the plastic blade. I really dont want to recharge the electrical system buying and installing an electrical dual fan with fan shroud if this will not help with the heat soak during long stop and go traffic situations.

    Im considering this option also but not so sure to avoid fuel percolating at idle in stop and go traffic.

    Im reading a book that describes the development and problems this car faced regarding vapor lock. Havent taken the car out for spin during stop and go traffic jams on week days. I was thinking that my 1972 240z could also have the symptoms described.

    Sorry for the misrepresentation of the part. Anyway problem fixed. Thanks to all of you. By the way i wish my air conditioner would blow more cold air. The gen ii mini evaporator need more flow.

    Negative battery pole disconnected, tap given with closed fist to the gauge, needle went tobñ center and viola ammeter working again. Thanks to all of you for your great help throughout these 4 years and exhaustive patience. Happy new year!

    Readings taken both at positive of alternator and at battery with car at idle. Ammeter still at zero. I have a spare one and already verified that my connectios were tight on the one installed.

    Im tired now. Ill try that tomorrow and give you the reading. These gauges are very fragile. 46 years old

    My alternator was upgraded to 60 amp with internal voltage regulator. I dont think its damaged. Car cranks fine. Can the ammeter be fried? If so, can it be fixed?

    Today i fried one 15 amp fuse which is plugged in a fuse holder of the parking light harness built by dave irwin and installed in my engine. It came out melted because i removed a 15 amp i had plugged on the instrument fuse holder at the fuse box. I believe this damaged the ammeter of the car. I checked all connections and did not find anything broken. My question is: could the short damage the ammeter? My fuel gauge does work. Can this be fixed and how?

    Well today it misteriously dissapeared. Suddenly it came back again. Should i bleed the brakes?

    Can i remove this part with a wrench and clean it ? i have noticed that sometimes after a couple of minutes of running the car, the brake light comes off completely. Randomly but not every time.

    Mine are really worn. They dont even return. It would also be nice to find a way of activating the red seatbelt light as it came from Factory.

    Ok. All replicas ive seen are different than the nos and do not have the bullet plugs.

    Another one on the rear really rusted. Ive seen the replicas but i dont rely on thailand quality. Any other options or restoring these ones?

    Running light or amber front and red rear marker lights? I want to avoid opening the steering column cover to unplug the parking light harness and plug the combo switch directly.

    The dashboard lighting lasted just some minutes. I guess one or both of the rear red markers must also be rusted and shorting the circuit

    Rust in the socket was the cause. Now back in commission. Should i purchase a pair of these lamps from amazon and replace them?
