  1. What leads you to think the dizzy and pertronix is damaged?
  2. I also hope. Someone here mentioned something about the dizzy. I dont think there is any problem there.
  3. This is sure a lot of work man! Damn those guys in californa datsun!
  4. Is there any other test that i should perform before i open it? One of the mechanics i used has dealt with MG su carbs and has always told me there is a problem inside the engine. He told me he could help me open the head and take it to a local machine shop here for rectifying. He asked me to get a full overhaul gasket kit. https://zcardepot.com/products/cylinder-head-gasket-kit-set-240z-260z-280z Any other thing i shall consider? Any additional tests prior to this?
  5. At least ill need the parts and gaskets before opening the head. Most of these parts are not available in Panama so i think its smarter to have them ready.
  6. Any gaskets i should purchase in advance prior to opening the head?
  7. 4th plug from right to left still fouls. Im ready to open this engine. Idle gets rough during traffic and clears up once accelerating. Any other thing to consider before breaking the engine?
  8. Well the problem always comes back if you leave the car idling for too long even on a parking lot. This time even spark plug 1 got fouled. Cleaned all the plugs with brass brush and carb cleaner and car accelerates fine. Need go get a solutiom to this problem ASAP.
  9. Well its supossed to bypass the original harness to power up the dashboard and parking lights it also helps save your combo switch. Anyway im still having problems with the horn as it only really works when you are accelerating and not on idle. Maybe its time to change the original relay? What is your opinion concerning this matter?
  10. Well i remove the clamshell and took the combo switch out. Sprayed some deoxit d5 fader which i use on my fender, vox and marshall tube amplifiers when require some maintenance. Problem solved and now the high speed on the wipers is working. I did noticed that when i took the car to the shop for a short circuit some one unplugged Dave Irwins harness i had purchased and conected the female and male sockets directly as the car came from stock.
  11. Can i attempt this continuity test without removing the complete combo switch from the steering wheel?
  12. Anyway of cleaning the combo switch with contact cleaner. I was thinking on removing it and spraying some contact cleaner on its contacts. The weird thing is that yesterday it managed to work at high speed. I really dont want to get into that Honda upgrade motor where you have to modify the wiper motor base and other things.
  13. Thanks. I have a spare one. Maybe i can check with this one and fluke multimet set on ohms.
  14. How do i check this? I bought the switch refurbished 9 years ago and it was working perfectly in both speeds.
  15. Just noticed the high speed position on the wiper Combo switch is no longer working. Should i just dump that old and tired wiper motor or could it be something else?
  16. I guess if i had bought the cardboard one it would have been easier to bend and get it in that hole.
  17. Well i bought both skillard panel and glovebox. However since i have the gen II mini the metal glovebox wont fit. Now what?? Another roadblock.
  18. Already installed the emblem. However, while adjusting the height so the lid could close properly 2 of the plastic tabs broke. I decided to order the skillard aluminium glove box and rear lid.
  19. so if i already purchased a JDM reproduction emblem the only way to stick is using gorilla tape?
  20. If purchase an emblem that is mint or refurbished what type of glue would you use?
