  1. Sugru, seems to be the solution to fill in the punctured holes! How do i order this product? How to i get the textured finish and black color?
  2. im also waiting for opinión on the full covers? any pictures of anyone who have them installed?
  3. http://www.eastwood.com/vinyl-and-dashboard-repair-system.html?reltype=2&parent_id=25927 The reviews arent that impressive!!
  4. Namerow, Thanks for your kind advice!! You are right, i am not a do it yourself man and since i dont live in the US where i can get these parts easier, i prefer the www.eastwood.com solution! Its just three spots that have been punctured and the 3 inches long crack that was there before these people were handed the car for AC installation. I am not interested in the full cap!! Want to keep it original! What will be the eastwood procedure? ANyone has done this repair before?
  5. so what do you recomend? the leather british outfit: http://www.ebay.com/itm/BLACK-LEATHER-DASH-DASHBOARD-LEATHER-COVER-FITS-DATSUN-240Z-260Z-280Z-1970-1974/351222196587?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211132617%26meid%3De0a34b2220ff4b5aaa17bbe664796e82%26pid%3D100085%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D351222196587%26clkid%3D543286283460641180&_qi=RTM2067267 It looks like a nice option!! Any thoughts?
  6. Went to check my AC installation today at the shop and found out the guys dented/ Punctured the upper side of the dashboard. They told me not to worry cause they would put some epoxy and when dried spray it with black. I do not think this is the solution. They should have been really carefull when pulling the dashboard out before installing the Evaporator Kit. Is there any posible way of fixing this dents and cracks or should i just purchase a whole NOS dashboard? Anyone?
  7. I am referring to the equivalent of said Kit on Magnaflow! What will be the model for a Magnaflow kit?
  8. What will be the equivalent on Magnaflow of the MSA PREMIUM Exhaust system (Stock Manifold)??
  9. I want something like yours! Any better brands than this Dynomax? Low rumble at idle and sporty howl when stepping on the gas!! Not so loud so i can´t listen to the radio!!
  10. I am thinking about purchasing a complete stock system which has all its prebend tubes and does not rust. I have seen many reviews and advised to purchase the following kit from MSA: MSA Premium Exhaust System, 70-72, 74 240Z-260Z (For Stock Manifold) http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic19j/15-6302 How sporty does this exhaust system sound? Looking for classic italian sport car sound!! This is what i actually have in my car and plan on getting rid of!!! It was installed here in Panama.
  11. Just took my car 4 weeks ago to a shop in Panama to do the following to my 240z: 1. Install Sanden 508 compressor and bracket 2. Install Vintage Air Gen II mini evaporator under the dashboard 3. Replace damaged Ahmeter with a good one which i provided 4. Replace all dashboard bulbs with leds which i also provided 5. Install a working servo diaphgram and throttle opener valve. 6. Install the hoses and condenser. 7. Install an MSA Fan Shroud I have called the mechanic several times and he advises he is still working on it! How much longer should i wait? Does this really take that long? He asked me for US$200 in parts to purchase the hoses and condenser and is billing me US$600 for installation. Anyone?? Should i keep on waiting?

  13. thanks. its a friend of mine who has a carburetor engine Porsche and advised to upgrade to K N Filter and Magnecor Spark Plug WIres. I have the stock nissan filter and ngk blue wires. Maybe i should try and just lean the mixture a Little bit on the rear carburetor.
  14. I was advise that besides tuning both carbs (still getting spark plugs 4 and 5 black), if i replaced the following parts, the idle could get smoother below 3,000 RPM: K & N E-2910 Air Filter http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=E-2910 Magnecor Spark plug wire set: http://whiteheadperformance.com/products/magnecor-competition-kv85-8-5mm-spark-plug-wires-6524-datsun-240z-260z-280z-280zx-l24-l26-l28/ My car has a petronix ignitor and 3.0 ohms petronix coil. If upgrading these parts will give me a smoother idle and less hesitation, i will make my order. Otherwise, if it is useless, i wont bother! Please advise!

  16. i think ill stick to the underdash round knob controls, leaving the heater controls untouched. The question is where under the dash is the most suitable place and where do i fasten them? anyone????
  17. Can you post more pictures of your design? Any instructions i should follow on how to cut the heater control panel if i decide to go your way?
  18. Thanks DjWarner, What about the under dash controls to opérate the vintage air gen ii mini kit? Do you recommend the indash control which will forcé me to open a hole in the existing heater control panel or should i just find a place under the dash to install the attached controls? I really do not want to alter or make any holes to the heater control panels preserving the car´s original look!

  20. In conclusión, can I use the heater hoses holes to route the compressor to evaporator hoses?
  21. Can someone tell me if i will need to drill any holes on the firewall to pass the compressor to evaporator hoses or can i simply eliminate the heater hoses and use the 2 holes as this guy did?
  22. Well, its not clear enough. I thought you had some more information.
  23. Julio, Any additional pictures please!!! I want to know what should i remove and what should i keep behind the heater control panel.
