My 240z license plate lamp is not sitting flush to car? am i missing something? there seems to be a gap between the lamp and the car´s trunk lid.

Japan?? How long will it take to get to Miami, FL? Quite expensive. You did not answered my question regarding the use with Hitachi SU CARBS which i believe can only handle up to 4 PSI.

I have read that the twin Hitachi SU carbs in our cars can only handle 4 PSI from the electric fuel pumps. My mechanic recommends swapping my electric fuel pump with a Facet Silver Top and regulator: https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=85 I am really aiming at a noiseless or very silent fuel pump that will keep on pumping gas even when decelerating at corners.Is the above fuel pump recommended for a 240z?

I am having an issue with one of the direction arrows light on my speedometer as it remains lighted when i turn the light of the car on. I thought the problem was the turn signal switch, so i unplugged it. the left arrow still remain on. I started to jiggle the socket and now it does not turn on, so i believe the bulb must have burned. How can i fix this without pulling the complete dashboard apart? What kind of White led bulbs should i purchase to replace all these bulbs? Any supplier and part number? Anyone???

I read good reviews on Ishino engine gasket seals. They are available on Amazon and Partgeeks which has a better Price. Any advice on these seals i have mentioned initally.

Where can i purchase a compressor bracket that bolts on the engine block of a 1972 Datsun 240z? I will be using a Sanden 508 compressor.

My mechanic needs the specs. Don´t know why? He says he needs them. I got a original stock camshaft that a friend had in his 1973 Datsun 240z. Will i need to purchase also lashpads, valve springs, etc? where can i get these aditional parts? I would like a source that provides high quality parts.

Finally in the process of swapping a Far 311 Race Cam with an original Stock 240z camshaft. I have been trying to find the specification but have not had any luck yet. Is it the same as BRE 311 Camshaft? Anyone?

I am next to installing an AC system on my 240z. I have noticed that on the right hand of the engine there seems to be 4 holes to install a bracket to mount a compressor. Where can i purchase this compressor mounting bracket? Will the ones from a 280zx fit? or should i manufacture one? I saw one on ebay from a 79-83 ZX. Anyone?

I have a problem with my left turn signal marker in the tachometer of my 240z. The problem first started last night when i decided to turn all the lights on the car. The left marker light of the car lighted up continuosly without turning the turn signal switch to the left or to the right. If i shut the light off and move the lever to right or left it does light intermittently as it should. All the four turn signal lights are working perfectly outside of the car. In view of the above, the problem seems to be on the the tachometer itself, do you think it is making a false contact and it is the reason why it is not working correctly. Please advise.

As mentioned before when i bought my car my EGR system looked like this: some of its components were not working and consequently i decide to remove the following parts from my engine: - Servo diaphgram -Assembly AB Valve My mechanic tested the vacuum for the control valve and it is not working also, so he decided to block all the remaining parts and has left it the following way: I have several queries regarding this modification: 1) Is the deletion of the system done correctly? Could i be having some vacuum leak as some of the blocking is not done as it should? 2) Any additional parts i need to buy in order to install an AC system to this car?

Does anyone in the fórum has an extra license plate light that will fit on my 1972 240z for sale? I do have the original one but it is bent by the heat taken throughout the last 42 years. JDM- Car parts and MSA used to sell them but it seems they are out of stock. I can settle for a used one but in great shape and with its screws and tabs in place.

Leon, OKAY. Yesterday i removed the air filter, caburetor domes, inner springs and sprayed carb cleaner to both of the 3 screw SU carburetors. I refilled both carburetors with 3 in one motor oil and retightened each and every screw in the air filter and carb domes. Finally i did moved each of the idle mixture nuts a Little bit counterclockwise. Result: The car is maintaning its RPM when decelerating or stopping at an intersection. Could this have been the problem??

Just checked and I dont see any signs of rust or impurities in the glass filter. I even checked all the spark plugs and they are burning well. I also sprayed carburetor clear to all the hoses end in the car in order to check any vacuum leak with the car parked on idle and the RPM did not change. Do you think i should also adjust the mixture idle Wheel underneath each of both SU CARBS? The problem is when i reléase the gas pedal i.e. if i speed up real hard on 1st gear and then reléase the pedal the RPM drops to 500 and tends to stall but pick up back again to 1,100RPM. Should i play with the idle mixture wheels underneath each of both carbs? maybe give it a Little bit more counterclockwise? Im really fed up with this situation!

Took the car again back to my mechanical engineer. Tested the car and it seems to accelerate fine. The problem is in the deceleration. When coming to a stop sign, slowing to make a u turn or traffic light the car tends to lower the revolutions from 1,100 to 600 tends to stall but immediately goes back to 1,100 RPM. THis is not normal, something is wrong here. After a couple of tests the needle now reads empty on the tank and the car is now shutting down completely even though there is still fuel present in the fuel filter (mine is a glass fuel filter which can show any impurity in the line). The engineer did tuned up the car and changed all the spark plugs in front of me. Do you guys think i can solve this issue by myself or should i take the car back to him again? We are thinking on replacing this Far 311 race came with the Original Stock cam so i can get a smooth idle and use my car as a daily driver. THe spark plugs are getting dark in traffic jams due to the race cam. I want to solve the stalling and irregular RPM drop when decelerating first and then swap the cam. Can anyone advise me on how to tackle this problem?

What about the original blue center caps? Where can i get them?

Are you sure those one fit? I read that the ones for Datsun 280zx wont fit these wheels. Can you verify?
