  1. I bought all my seals from vintage rubber. Too expensive to have this kind of hassle.
  2. Thanks for the advice. I guess the differential insulator part number is 55415 N4301. Whats the strap part number?
  3. I wouldnt like to take the car to the shop again until i have purchased the correct snug and precise weatherstrip and a high quality adhesive. I believe a good tight seal does not need any adhesive.
  4. The proble shows up and is more noticeable when driving at slow speed up slope entering the parking of my building. Whenever i accelerate after releasing the clutch i can hear the "clunk" coming from the rear of the car. I took it to the mechanic and he didnt find any play at the u joints. Do yoi think i should invest i a new set of u joints plus the differential strap and support?
  5. I bought a complete set of doors weatherstrip for my 240z from vintage rubber. Does anyone know of a better supplier that can provide a tight and snug fit weatherstrip of the drivers door without using any silicone sealer?
  6. I am noticing a distinct clunk sound when accelarating and releasing the gas pedal at low rpms. Is it time to replace the u joints?
  7. Where can i get a nissan oem reverse backup light switch for my 280z 5 speed tranny installed on my 1972 240z? The ones ive seen on ebay or other suppliers are not oem nissan. Mine works but i guess its all bundle up with patches of wired sliced and soldered as the picture i took.
  8. I have an airtex 8012s pushing 3.2 psi and after setting my floats works perfectly. Thanks to the advice of my friends here at the forum.

  11. I guees he is confused i need 2 of 57 for each side.
  12. Z car source says i need 4 of these bushings. I guess they must be wrong as they dont look like the original bushings i previously posted.
  13. Any difference in the car's ride or comfort using these bushings instead of energy suspension poly?
  14. I found the correct part. I guess i will need to go with the energy suspension poly bushing kit as these original nissan bushings are hard to get. Any thoughts?
  15. Thats correct. Sorry. I just want to try a different option other than purchasin the energy suspension kit.
  16. Well after performing a complete search based on the part number you supplied. The only bushings i need are: 55541-E4100
  17. i only see this kit available: https://www.amazon.com/Energy-Suspension-7-3104G-Control-Bushing/dp/B000CGUJOE/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1533832428&sr=1-1&keywords=Energy+Suspension+7.3104G I dont think i need all of these bushings as i only need to replace the ones that were wrongly installed. The ones i need are the ones pointed in the following site: https://www.totalzparts.com/product/datsun-240z-260z-280z-rear-suspension-inner-control-arm-bushings-1970-78-nos/ Quite expensive indeed. Please confirm.
