  2. ok! just order the product by amazon! will let you know!
  3. What about this one: https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-12020-Instant-Repair-stick/dp/B000ALG8RS Is this good enough?? Sorry friend but im not selling any car!
  4. So can someone recommend a product for sealing this small but small leak without soldering?? My tank is fine! it has no rust inside! Just these people that pull the tank down and struck the small metal line which is now bleeding when the tank is full.
  5. what other sealant nowadays can solve this issue without taking the tank out and soldering the upper smaller metal line?
  6. I had my car painted several months ago. During the Restoration procedure, the shop that painted the car removed the gas tank and hoses from the car and i believe that accidentally damaged on of the fuel metal lines that form part of the tank and could be the 5mm - 3/16 or the 8 mm - 5/16 one. One of these metal lines leaks a Little bit of gas when the gas tank is full. Should i remove the tank, flush it and start soldering the broken line or would any cold solder mix product fix this permanently? or should i just simply try to find a new tank??
  7. My 240z has the stock 4 LUGS black Pearl wheels with 14 inch tires. I would like to upgrade it to 15 inch wheels but without doing any mods to the suspensión or brake system. I really like these wheels: https://whiteheadperformance.com/product/american-racing-15x7-polished-slot-mag-wheel-kit-0-offset-4x114-3-vna695748-datsun-240z-260z-280z-280zx-510/ What type and size of tires will i need?
  8. I was thingking of purchasing this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-1970-83-240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-Radio-Antenna-Mast-Stainless-Adjustable-154-/322214768805?fits=Make%3ADatsun|Model%3A240Z&hash=item4b057f30a5:g:mw8AAOxyTMdTKIwy&vxp=mtr Just wanted something that could looks as OEM as possible but being manual. I have an aftermarket Electric one but have not install it since i wouldnt like to be driving with the antenna up and just listening to a CD. I understand that i will need an additional interruptor to pull the antenna down.
  9. Anyone that has a spare original Front bumper for my 1972 240z which allows bumper guards? I have the original bumper guards replated. Just need the front bumper.
  10. I need a manual antenna for my 1972 240z! Any nice looking one?
  11. These guys charged me US$4,750.00 plus US$800 on materials (PPG White 904 paint and additives) to fully restored the car! I purchased new floors and lower panels.
  12. inner radio fuse was burnt. Change the fuse and smoke started going out of the radio. Had to take the radio to an electronics shop for repair. Labour was US$38.00. This was negligence of the paint shop. Everything else in order.
  13. Ill check the fuses! I really dont see any fuses corresponding to the radio on the fuse box. Ill check again!
  14. My aftermarket radio was working before i took my 72 240z to the paint shop and now it does not turn on at all. I already checked the manual antenna connection at the trunk of the car and the antenna banana plug is connected to the female socket. Dont see no broken wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the radio. The red wire is connected. Where else do i check? I really dont want to pull the heater panel off to see if something was disconnected or not. THe only thing that was done to the car is a swap of the ingnition switch and that only consisted on a plug and play female 5 pin socket. The car is running and all its lights are working. Where else do i check before pulling the heater panel apart?
  15. Honestly i would like to get the dash out of the car again! Id have to live with it! Isnt there a product i can slide in the crack??
  16. Which needed part?? I thought i only had to purchase the manual antenna Siteunseen recommends at Z car depot? I also noticed that my car radio is not turning on. All fuses seem okay and it was working perfectly when i deliver the car to the paint shop. If the antenna cable was left disconnected could this be the problem? Does the antenna cable acts as a ground that closes the circuit? THis is what i saw on the electric diagram!
  17. just did what you mentioned! Now its back in commission! thanks!
  18. I need to install a new firewall grommet for the wiper motor connection to the engine harness on my '72. The only thing I've read is of someone cutting the rubber and sliding it over the cable & then gluing the back side & putting it in the firewall. There's got to be a better way because that's not right. I think i could remove the wires from the plastic Shell and then pass them through the small hole of the grommet, install the rubber grommet and then place them back on the plastic Shell. anyone??? or is everynone cutting the grommet passing the wires and gluing back with crazy glue??
  19. Dont know what the shop did but they removed the stain! Now i only have to fix the crack on the center of the dash!
  20. i guess i will leave it with a manual antenna period!! too complicated! i dont see myself driving with that antenna all the way up and listening to music!
  21. Should i leave it this way?? Does it look fine? I had already invested US$100 on replating the bumper guards so i could fasten them to this new bumper! What a pitty!!
  22. The paint shop that restored and paint my car cannot fit the front bumper guards in the new front bumper i bought! Really weird. I have attached pictures of the bumper without the guards. I bought this bumper on EBay and was shipped from Canada. Shop argues there is some slight difference between the original front bumper and this one and that there is not enough clearance between the bumper guards and the front Hood. if the Hood is opened it touches the bumper guards. How do we solve this issue? I thought the purpose of the Project was to have the car as it came out from the Factory in 1972. This is a US model!! Am i missing some parts here?
  23. Just to let you know the shop finally managed to install it! Thanks for the pictures!
  24. I purchase an aftermarket antenna on EBay to be used with an Aftermarket kenwood radio. Question is: If once the antenna is wired just by turning on the radio the antenna goes up? What if i only want to listen to a CD or USB device, will i still have the antenna up? Is there any way of wiring the antenna so that it only goes up if i decide to hear a radio station?
