  1. Let me get home after work and i will measure and post pics.
  2. Mark, those needles were replaced by ztherapy in 2014. Do you want me to unlock them and change their height?
  3. I balanced the carbs on saturday at 2 and 3k rpms with a unisyn. This was checked already
  4. We are starting from flush with bridge position and yes both ztherapy.
  5. Its up position and them turning them 3.5 turns clockwise each.
  6. Let me ger this clear when i mean 3.5 turns clockwise is lowering the nozzle from the bridge 3.5 turns. The standard is 2.5 turns clockwise. At that setting the car has no punch at all even at 3 turns it lacks power.
  7. This guy posted a video adjusting the floats: Is this the correct way to adjust them? I also have some float synch to perform adjustments.
  8. Car runs good at 3.5 turns clockwise on both carbs. Timing advanced to 14bdc. Plugs BPR5ES from 6 to 1
  9. I tried brand new set of bpr5es at 3 turns clockwise each carb. 2.5 was too sluggish for driving and engine not kept idling steady. Just took a spin around the neighborhood as it started to rain. No good results. Plugs 5, 4 and 2.
  10. Ill buy a new set of plugs and report instead of cleaning these ones.
  11. Lowered the mixture in both carbs to 2.5 turns clockwise each one. Rear carb was adjusted to 3.5 turns clockwise and front carb to 4 turns clockwise. I have set the idle speed to 1000 rpm. Ill try tomorrow and report. This is how the plugs came out before i dialed both carbs to 2.5 turns:
  12. Thanks again Gundee. Its totally different car now. WHat about getting a brand new resistor and ignition coil? Cant i just clean and remove the foul with a brass brush?
  13. Hi Mark. Ill check on this and revert. How many turns clockwise do you think its enough to avoid the plugs getting fouled?
  14. Should i purchase a new 1.5 ohms pertronix coil and get a new resistor from amazon?
  15. These plugs are brand new. First time i run the car after thrashing the old ones when i had the coil wrongly connected. You want me to replace them again?
  16. Gundee, You really nail it! Now its totally different. More speed in first gear. Now its a real racing car. Ill check the spark plugs and revert.

  18. Can you make a drawing or use the pictures i sent you to indicate exactly which wire i need to remove and where should i place it? What type of twin connector? i get lost here, sorry.
