  1. so i don’t think it’s pulling them down as much as it should if any. is it likely the choke cable itself is bad ?
  2. ill double check this for sure . maybe not pulling nozzles down all the way
  3. maybe cables not pulling it down all the way. i took them off when i cleaned the carbs up and reattached them. there were little grooves wore in the plastic covering where they fit in the little bracket so i assumed it’d go right back in there like that
  4. ya i tried pulling the choke back and crank it . before it seemed to pulled the nozzles down but now ill have to double check. might sound dumb but if i pull the choke cable should the nozzles be noticeably down like i could press them back up and feel it with my finger when doing so
  5. Good afternoon guys, im looking for a little help on my 72 240 l24. So in the mornings first time starting it takes awhile for it to crank and start up. sometimes i’ll have to let it crank for quite some time then let off then try again with my foot on gas and it’ll start up. once the car is warmed up i can shut it off and start it right back up like 30min later. it has newer plugs ,wires and distributor cap. There’s fuel in the fuel filter every time in my engine bay, it has an electric fuel pump as well. Another issue is that sometimes i have to turn my key over multiple times for it to actually register and try to crank. i’m guessing that is ignition switch needing replaced or cleaned up. Anybody have an idea on what it could potentially be?
  6. i don’t have the filter setup or airhorns for it but i wouldn’t mind getting either for it . it don’t have any of the gaskets either so i would have to get those as well. i was mainly just wondering if there’s any additional linkage id need to buy or have modified
  7. this might be a dumb question , but if i get these rebuilt and put on is there any additional parts like linkages or anything else needed or that would need modified to work or are triple setups bolt on?
  8. hopefully they contact me back here soon. i tried to call another shop locally but haven’t responded to me either, also idk if they’re really familiar with datsun related carburetors but it was a carburetor specialty shop.
  9. yeah i emailed them to see how much it’ll run. i think i spoke to another guy about that shop and he said it’s like $1200 to have them rebuilt but i could be wrong. we will see since i just emailed them last night
  10. good afternoon everyone, I am curious to know if anyone might know who would rebuild these or where I could find a rebuild kit for a Triple SK Racing Carb Setup? they've been sitting for years and i would assume they'd need a rebuild or cleaned up at a minimum.
  11. VIN is HLS30-19740. Original numbers matching engine, e31 head. body is in good shape very minimal rust was restored previously 10-15 years ago
  12. all he said was he’d send cashiers check or wire transfer it and would do it today. it’s weird though first offered me $5500 and then i told him i have offers almost double and then told me $11,500. I think you’re right though i might get it cleaned up better and fix a few small issues with it.
  13. yah i need to take some good photos of it i just don’t have a lift or anything to show underneath the best. idk if the majority of BAT vehicles are usually in great condition and are expected so kind of like the big name auction houses like Mecum. i got a quote from the beverly hills car club in california and they said 11,500 and would buy it right now. but i don’t know how legit that place is. i seen they are the ones selling the super beat up and rusted out datsun on ebay though.
  14. when i get home i’ll throw some more pictures up as well. the build date is 1/71 i’ll get everything else as well
  15. Good afternoon everyone not sure where to post this but i am just curious to what you guys think my 71 240z series 1 value would be? i see prices all over the place and contemplating selling it because we might be moving in the next 6 months or so and i don’t have a truck or trailer to haul it anywhere and i could use the money. original L24 4 speed runs and drives but i think the carbs need tuning or rebuilt as it sputters a bit. brakes need bled but the car was previously restored. minimal surface rust on the body, the car still looks fairly good at least to me. interior is in nice shape other then the common dash being cracked. Thank you guys for everything and i appreciate your help
  16. yes it is ! now i just gotta adjust the carbs. crappy thing is i won’t even be able to work on it since i’ll be away for a couple months.
  17. another update just back into town after about two weeks since last time i started it and it fired up no problems!! IMG_4143.MOV
  18. so i installed the original keyosan denki fuel pump i picked up. i primed the fuel system the way i did before by blowing back on the return line to fill up the fuel filter. started up and drove it around the block for couple minutes and let it idle for about 20 minutes. shut the car off let it sit for 3-4 hours went back outside and the fuel filter was still filled with fuel. started it up no problems starting. we will see if it stays that way while i’m gone for a few days
  19. installed the tank with new evap hoses and put a fuel filter right off the tank , swapped out the wires and still don’t start. i have no idea what to do anymore
  20. never mind probably not what you’re looking for
