I can see...on some parts..it is more like 123 K Miles on that car... if you read the last lines in the ad. he's admitting that it has to be 123 K Miles.. His 1 didn't work.. yeah right..

In the states you guys.. (Or your parents.. ;-) ) bought a 240z for 3600 dollars ?? or so...? in the early seventies... We here, in the Netherlands, had to pay 21000 guilders for one 240z! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (a Dollar was about 2 guilders then..) For that money we could also buy 3 !!! midclass cars yes!! 3 !!!! only about 240 z's were sold in about 3 years!! Thats why we cán believe those early cars are worth it!

No... the third picture of book shows 19-to-20 MPG.. now i see the first picture and those are better! but 19-20 is 1to 8 km/ l. as we measure it Kilometers per liter, i could easy get it above 1 on 10.. thats ltr/kilometer.. 19,5 x 1,609 = 31,37kilometer 1 gallon US =? 3,8 liter? so.. 31,37/3,8 = 8,25 kilometer per liter. On page 1 of the book i see 32MPG thats 1 on 13,55 l/km .. thats better

For better rubbers... lay them in hot wasmachine soap for a week.. make it hot sometimes, wash 'm by hand.. you won't believe what comes out.. for the chrome i use "belgom" and a polishing machine. preserves the chrome aswell.. yes a lot of elbowgrease.. Hope you can take the rubbers off without destroying to much..

And you also took those horns of the bumper(s ??) nice clean look! (Nice euro look!!! ) There were some original rubber things for in those holes.. i got a set on my 240z but no reserve.. maybe i should make some sets off of these originals that came with a dutch 240z i once had..
  10. I always do that... (Sarcasm... ) Sorry but don't they center themselfs anymore?? Time for some new wheels?? and nuts!
  11. LMAO But seriously.. some things you have to leave to a professional.. with the right tools.
  12. After reading it again.. you are right! i thought the comp.pump was also bigger inside i was wrong! it gives more pressure not more oil..
  13. Thanks for the answers, But the pump i found delivers same amount of oil as the "280 turbo" pump.. Found this... Virtually any L-series oil pump will install on an L series engine. Also nearly all L series oil pumps have the same part number being 15010-21001. There are two exceptions. The first being 280zxt oil pump being 15010-S8000. This was the first and only change to an original equipment Lseries oil pump since the L series intro. The second exception is the Nissan Motorsports high pressure oil pump, 15010-A1110." Now to the "why" in your question. "The output for standard and competetion pumps is 0.49 fluid ounces (14.5 ml) per pump revolution. The output of the 280zxt oil pump is 0.55 fluid ounces (16.4 ml) per pump revolution. The higher volume is for the additional oil to the turbo. It was accomplished with 5mm (0.20 in) longer gears, or 35mm (1.378 in.) versus 40mm (1.575 in) internally. Externally the turbo oil pumps are unchanged. High volume and high pressure are for the most demanding applications." the above excerpt taken from "How to modify your Datsun/Nissam OHC engine" by frank honsowetz
  14. Hello Guys, I think i have another rare part here.. A competition high pressure oil pump, new in the box! How rare is it and what is it worth? fits L24-L26-L28 ??? As they say: rare as hens teeth Hihi.....?

The Dutch regulations as were more in europe , prescribed the hight minimum.. When i went to the dutch DMV, (RDW) i had the turn signal lights already on the bumper this was correct and the car passed. This was in 2000. Now days the RDW says its okay, because it's "original" for the car they can stay there.. both ways are now aproved in the Netherlands.

The euro style front spoiler was not made of glass fibre! I saw them long time ago.. They where made of a sort of high density foam in black.. One could realy easy bend them. If you drove over a big rock it did give way and didn't dent.. the ideal spoiler! Mart

Very nice Bob, good work. I think your just in time with your restauration.. Prices are skyrocketing.. just sold a set of rear lights 240z for 350 euro!
  18. They where made till 2000 or 1999... for Japanese market... I have seen a model 2000 so...
  19. Yes.. when its flush you still can weld a nut on it!
  20. One stud on my just bought L24 was also broken. I will weld a nut on it to take it out.. weld it and after a few seconds start to unscrew, it will come out.. (also soak it in a penatrating oil first..)

Looks good! I did those parts also about 15 years ago, sandblasted them and then zincpainted them. they still look good after many winters.. Yeah, in the summer i drive a 300zxTT as new.. and in the winter my 240z is the banana! the dupe.. the honor to drive me trough the snow.. IT'S FUN! "Normaly people change the tires/wheels when winter comes, i change simply cars, the 240z is Always on wintertires.. and Original high on its wheels. I to have restored my 240z myself and it was a lot of work.. but i'm driving the beast now for 15 years and it's still going strong. Mart.
