Hey, any information on how fast this guy was going when he hit the pheasant? That had to scare the crap out of the driver and/or passenger when it hit... wow. Does febreze take out that rotting stench of pheasant guts?
  2. In the grander scheme of things the profile is probably the most attractive part of the z, but I voted for "It's Mine" because I love my z and I think it's more beautiful than any other z out there.
  3. on the topic of emission control, I have all of that neat stuff cluttering around in my engine bay...how much of it can I get rid of? all of it? if so, do you just plug off the holes, etc? thanks

There's a whole bunch of good ideas posted here. It's too bad that we live in a world where we need to have this conversation at all. As for me, after all this talk about car thefts I think I'm going to start sleeping in my car with a good baseball bat.:classic:

What changes to the radio in your cars has everybody made? I have installed a Sony Explod deck, a couple of tweeters up front, a pair of Sony Explod 6x9's and a Jensen 10" sub with matching 550 watt amp. I have found that the hatchback design of the z cars makes for some kickass sound....
  6. I'll take everybody's word that SU's are the best, but I have the parts necessary for the 4bbl swap and I'm just curious about how differently the engine would perform....I don't have a whole bunch of hands-on experience on working with engines and I think it'd be a good learning experience. I'm also curious about triple webers: what does everybody have to say about those?

Now that I think about it, if I had $30k to throw around I'd have one hell of a 72 z. Wow, where would I start on my z with that much money........

brianglawson, I love the wheels on that car. Do you have any information on those?
  9. Ewwww, drunkenmaster, those are some gross pics. What do you do when you get rot in an area like the quarter window sill? I'm a youngster and don't know a lick about body work. My 72 is starting to rot out around the rear quarter panels and I don't know what to do. All I know is that I want to get it painted in the near future and I figure I'll just get that work done at that time. And another (stupid) question: while I'm getting the paint redone, it would probably be a good idea to get the entire body straightened out (dents, dings, etc.) right? Thanks for any info.

I think seerex has a good point. I think that a 350z would make an awesome daily driver. Sure it's missing a few things in the cosmetic department and it will never match up to the beauty of the 240z, but I think it's a fair trade when you get all of the creature comforts of a new car. Plus a lot of the younger women I am around seem to prefer the new to the oldROFL

I don't know, I haven't been on the forums for a while, but what does everybody think about the new 350z's? You guys probably had a million threads about this when they first came out, but what's your 2 cents? Who has one? If you do, do you like it?

If I had to pick one then I'd have to go with the orange, I don't think that the flame job that you show would do it. Out of curiousity I have always wondered what a old fashioned hot rod flame job would look like, but then I think to myself, not pretty on a z.

Yeah, I bought my 72 240 from my dad for $2000. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it! Thanks Dad!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on installing a Holley 4bbl carb onto my L24. It has the intake already, but I am clueless about how to make the throttle work. Good job on the website, I love it. Thanks, craigcully

Hi, I'm a new member to this site and I was wondering about the origin of my car. I am the third owner (second owner was my dad) and the story is that this car was owned by the ex-president of some california zcar club. I don't know a whole lot about z's, but what is unusual about my car is a custom vinyl bra and mohair? seat interior. I think that the seats are factory options, but does anybody know the owner of this car? It is a July 72 240z with vin #hls30-93507. Im just curious. Thanks. P.S. Any suggestions for a replacement cam for my stock l24?
