  1. Will do thanks man
  2. Think I figured it out, the rear filter was disgusting, I replace it let the car run go 20 minute and took it for a test run. She pulled great right threw the problem area and beyond. I'm gonna keep my eyes on the filter to see of fast it gets dirty. Hopefully I don't have to clean out the gas tank. Thanks again guys couldn't have done it without you. -Nick
  3. Thank for the input guys!
  4. I just tried unplugging the TPS still did it, cleaned the TPS out with some wd-40 let it dry hooked it all back up. It seemed to idle a little lower but this felt a wall/ lack of power around 4500 RPMS.
  5. Whatta mean if I disconnect it and it stops or keeps doing it?
  6. So I replace he fuel filter and spark plugs was cruising around getting on it a little and it started acting up again, once the rain stops I'm on clean the TPS and spray it down with some wd 40. Maybe it's the fuel pump, or possible injector?

What's going on classicZcar members, my name is nick. 21 years old from ditches county NY. Recently I bought a 1976 datsun 280z from Dallas tx and drove it back cross country. I'm not really sure what I have planned for the car just enjoy driving it and looking into a few mods but nothing crazy. Really pump to be able to talk to people who have been working with these timeless machines for years and have the same love for them as I do.
  9. I've been told that a wrx LSD r160 diff will fit in my 280z, is this true? Or has anyone ever tried this?, I'm not looking for it to handle anything more than low 200 hp. Just wanna have both rear wheels spinning .
  10. Thanks for all the info guys! I'll let you know how I make out!!
  11. I just got my Datsun back on the road for spring and I notice while in 3rd and 4th around 4100rmp it feels like there is a rev limiter on the car and is doesn't wanna go past 4100-4200 rmps. it doesn't happen in 1st or 2nd and if I ease into it, it sometimes doesn't happen in 3rd. the car is running strong though so I don't really think its anything mechanical. if anyone has any input I'd greatly appreciate it. thanks!!
