Crashworthiness of a 77 280z
Lucky to be alive, for sure. This is scary for anyone involved or to have witnessed. I always remember wrecks like this when a young driver wants S30 as their first car. That's why I preach the safety factor to them.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Holy cow, that's a lot of cutting! Chop shop experience showing? Maybe? It also kinda reminds me of the movie Fargo when the guy went into the shredder.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
I used a sawzall on my parts car. It was oddly gratifying feeling standing on the roof while cutting away. Unfortunately the current price paid for scrap is hardly worth it other than to get it out the way. I got $40 for 1200 lbs. last summer. Also, don't forget to take your title and or bill of sale with you to the scrap yard. They're going to ask for it.

This has Captain Obvious all over it
I can be minister of carburetors in your regime! I should know about them, but I don't, so I'd be perfect as a politician. Plus I would help schedule all the future EFI constituents,

Low miles, original paint 280z
I'm gonna go with 20 something. I think all original and unmolested is very appealing to most buyers. 240's still have the magic for the want factor but 280's are just a more refined version and still have the . I hear it every time I take mine out.

Hole in side of block??
I thought I'd seen most every configuration of the L series engine. I was wrong, and that includes the garden hose. The PO must have done some serious drugs when attempting this.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Unfortunately no. As with many Ebay stores it seems to have come and gone.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
No, not real leather. I ordered off of Ebay and it was a leather look alike but substantially cheaper. I had to do foam replacement also so I was trying to save a few $. Also, I was originally trying to match the Ginger color on the door panels, but decided on these instead. They wound up being shipped from Karachi, Pakistan.

[2017] What Did You Do To/with Your Z Today?
Finally got around to install some under dash lighting with LED's. Not exactly finished yet but I'm glad to address the black abyss issue when something fly's off the passenger seat and lands in the "wait until daylight" area. It'll be one less flashlight to carry. The bad part is now it'll show how dirty the floor is .

Anyone need a new shirt?
Holy Cow! Starting bids 70 C or $115? For a used (think cooties) print shirt? That's a weeks worth of Datsun T's. I need to ask more for my used clothes at yard sales.

76/77 280z driving lights not working
Sounds like you are in a repair or replace situation with your Headlight switch. There are quite a few threads here on how to clean/refurbish your 280 headlight and turn signal arms. Just do a quick search. There is also a fellow, Dave Irwin, that does a very good job of restoring these and other Z electrical parts. You can find him on Facebook. There are plastic components in the Headlight and Turn signal arms. Pushing harder is usually not recommended thus the possibility of the need for replacement. Good Luck!

MSA satin black Konig Rewinds are coming.. need tires
Sorry, but visually this was bugging the crap out of me. It's a disease kinda' like these cars are. Yes, the front is a little higher than the back. The tilt of the photo accentuates that. It's an technique that used to be used in "before and after" advertising. Not at all saying it was intended but I just had to fix it to give a better representation. . This one is closer to reality minus the lens distortion. Carry on Gentlemen!

Nissan comes through again!
@rcb280z Hey fellas, I saw these a while back. http://skillard.com/products/280z-stainless-steel-inner-scuff-plates Pricey? Yes, but they are stainless. I got an original pair off ebay when I was looking for something like 36. But it's been a while. They still show up sometimes. My Nissan dealer just changed owners. The last time I called them and asked for specific part #'s, they asked "you've gotta' what?…..". You'd have thought I was asking for something for a Yugo.
