  1. Thanks guys! This is actually my 3rd S30, my others being my blue series one build dated 6/70 and my 72 FL. Structurally she isn't bad, mainly doglegs and fender bottoms, floors were never patched, frame rails are okay. Definitely in need of some love. It's going to be practice for my fairlady since that one needs wayyyy more work put in. My blue car has virtually no rust so that's on the verge of being done to use as my daily while I work on these.
  2. Sorry for the lack of pictures, I use my phone frequently and for some reason it didn't attach the pics
  3. Hey guys! Like the title says I nabbed my first Z car I ever spotted in the wild so to say. Owner wanted to scrap her, his mechanic said she was too rusty to drive, so she sat since 93. I will eventually restore her to stock and enjoy her throughout my ownership, really happy to finally call it mine.

Hahaha thanks for the compliment! I actually added one more today... HLS30-1434
  5. Man, too bad I have too many cars. I actually bought 6302 a couple years ago from Napa California and would love to have its "brother" from the assembly line. GLWS hope someone buys it and brings it back to life instead of ending up at the scrap yard in pieces.

Sorry to hear that, I've had similar experiences with AAA trying to dog me out I my deductible. I had someone run an intersection and smash the rear passenger quarter of my Scion XB around a year ago and the insurence company tried to pull the whole you both are at fault story to get the deductible. After fighting with them a few months and getting the car fixed they ruled us not at fault and still wouldn't return our deductible. Been fighting with them to this day about it. Bunch of crooks running around nowadays. I always leave notes or exchange info, I figure life's easier manning up to your mistakes/wrong doings.

Nice! I figured it would probably be a 5 speed but sometimes people go for the stock 4 just to stay original. I'm going with a SX 5 speed swap in my car when the L28 build is done. For now I'm rocking a 4 speed haha
  9. Thanks Jim! Decent upgrade on the car, it's gonna be a daily so I'm going for a sort of restomod on it. Tlorber, I have a couple other S30 that I don't drive so I don't know how much better these are over stock but I'm sure I'll find out! Haha, I've always liked cloth over vinyl or leather but my other cars have to stay stock. At the least the other 70 and my 72.
  10. My 1970 never had seats when I got it and I have been bumming a spare for a driver seat. Got a set of 96 miata seats from a friend so I decided to finally install them. Pretty straight forward. After modifying the stock mx5 seat brackets to be flat the driver side literally bolted in the stock holes no problem. Passenger side needed new holes drilled 1/2 over from stock location towards trans tunnel but that was it. Overall I really like the feel of them, and the adjustability over stock.

Great looker of a car you have there! Welcome! I'm sure you will find any info you need on here when the time comes. If you enjoy her now, wait until you pop in a good old 5 speed. Or were you going for a 4?

Thanks for the welcome LeonV, I enjoy them, the fairlady is definitely a project, gonna be awhile till I get to it, but it runs so I'll bring to shows and stuff once I'm able to, I've never seen a rat style fairlady before so it will stay this way until I can afford to properly restore it. I will plan to come out to the event Julio! I would love to meet more Datsun people, I'll more than likely bringing ol blue, it's a daily, so it's capable of trips
