It was the engine bay harness, runs the lights, starter etc. my Fi harness is a hack job after the previous owner tried to go megasquirt.

I may be switching to carbs. so im not concerned with the efi controls. do i have to do anything with these wires if I dont use them? I grabbed all the relays from around the bracket by the battery tray when I pulled the harness from the junk car. Pretty sure I have all of them. so if i keep the efi should i be good to go?

there's no cut wires and the harness wrap appears untouched. im kinda thinking the car in the yard was a 78. other than the regulator there seems to be no differences in the harness. theoretically i could just get a newer alternator amd i should be good to go right?

So I just pulled an engine harness from a 280z in a junkyard to put into my 77. The junkyard website said the car was a 77 and that is what was painted on the side of the body by them. We just pulled my old harness and laid them side by side to examine them and see what connections may need to be swapped over etc. Here's where I am stumped. my car has this round plug for the voltage regulator... But the one we pulled from the car, supposedly the same year. Has no such connector nor and cut wires that look like they would have gone to this connector. Anyone know if this harness changed at some point or what year it would have been different from a 77?

Cant tell by looking at the price guide, whats general admission if any?

You guys are out of salem? do you have a shop people can come to? i live about 40mins away. how much would a whole set up run me you think?

I new to the Datsuns but admired for a long time, my FI is HACKED up by the previous owner. I always liked mechanical over computers etc. I found these is this a decent price for a set up? even if they need rebuilt?
