Special Datsun Build Rear Spoiler!!!
Hi Will, Yer the owner bought the car with this thing attached and must have removed it quick smart. I thought it must have got him a good deal on the car as it would have scared so many potential buyers off. I just had to post it, it looks so strange but I just think it's a pisser to look at! Sulio

Looking for turbo zed!
ah...I forgot to mention the the guy I was talking about is installing his RB in a race car so engineering and compliance is'nt aqs big an issue as a street car which translate into less $$$, but yer I've often heard people saying an RB conversion could set you back 10 to 15K running. A lot of money hey, I reckon I'll just stick to building a mild street friendly L28!

Looking for turbo zed!
I would expect to pay in excess of 12K for a 2 seater S30 thats rego'd with an RB intalled. Having said that alot of the blokes with a few bucks to spend on a Z tend to look for unmoletered cars whilst younger blokes wanting an RB Z often just have'nt got enough cash put away due to family commitments etc. I suppose my point being if and RB Z does come up you might get lucky depending on how desperate the owner is to sell it and what the Z market is like at that particular time. But in short I would expect to pay about 15K for a clean 2 seater S30, (RB30 with reg) with no rust and neat paint. I know a fella who has just picked up a R33 GTS half cut for about 3.5K and he's doing the work himself so he'll prolly have it in and running for 5K. http://www.viczcar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1111 Good Luck

Painting - Stripes or No Stripes
ktm that a beautiful car that silver Z with the stripes. I stuck mine one, at least you have the option of easily removing them. These have been on the car for years and i've used high pressure washer on them many times.

Hi guys, these pics have just been taken off the net, I have'nt seen the cars in person. Yer those lights on the black car do suit it. I've also been thinking for some time about these lights and whether to go circular or squarish shape as many do??? My pick would be to use the auxilary lights that are mounted on the new Mini Coopers as they are a nice size and have the nice chrome backing that suits the Z.

- Rear Disc Brake Conversion
Axles were out on the car I found, the pic of the completed hub is from a car next the one I got the rear off. I noticed your in Melb. Go to the pick a part in Cambellfield next time. There were heaps of R31's there withaxles pulled out and brackets just lying around next to the cars. I counted about 7 cars. Good Luck- Safari rally videos/pics

- L28ET, how common/rare are they in the US?
Wow, thats sounds great Will. I am definately interested. If you can spare a complete motor that would work out quite nicely for me. I have just started my holidays from work and I'm off to Malaysia for a couple of weeks as of this Wednesday. During my holidays I will contact some friends to see how long I would have to wait for some space in a shipping container from the US to Australia along side some cars and parts they import from the US. I will PM you over the coming weeks so we can work out how best to do this, ie price, payment, pick-up etc Thank You, Sulio- L28ET, how common/rare are they in the US?
Thanks Carl. Hmmm...USD$650 is about $850 Australian dollars. Something for me to think about. How indicative do you think that figure of twice a year is to other parts of the country? I suppose I'm trying to ask is there a particular part of the country they tend to be more common in? I have a freind living near Detroit, he's not a Z man but just wondering what his chances of coming across one in that city might be like? Thanks again Carl! EDIT. Thanks Mr Camo, you must have posted as I was replying. OK, there's a couple of guys in Melb that have gone down the path of building up L28 turbo motors which have cost the 10K mark. There's people asking big money for P90heads around here these days. Anyhow I long gave up thinking about this option and I've got an L28 N42/N42 sitting in the garage waiting on some head work and a mild cam but it's gotta wait until I finish my house renovatons and new garage. I thought in the mean time I would do some homework out of interest. Even shipping from NZ can add up when your getting bit's and pieces. I've been checking Patrol heads for ages now and have'nt come across one yet although I have heard they're out there! Anyhow it sure would be nice to get it all in one peice ready for reco! BTW, what model did the L20AET come in? Cheers Sulio- L28ET, how common/rare are they in the US?
Just out of curiosity. Is it possible to find these motors in US junk yards? If so what does a complete motor sell for when pulled out of a wreck? We did'nt get them in Australia! Sulio- Styling.....Porsche Cayman, 350Z & the 240Z...your thoughts?
Wow, interesting info guys. Hmmm...stretching that 350z bonnett would have worked for me. I personally would have liked to have seen lines closer to the original. Similar to these sketches;- My 240z for sale
