Center Console Lid from The Z Store
I beleive they sell em for 240's also. Price is US $43.00 so I'm guessing it'll end up about $70ish Aussie dollars inc shipping to Melbourne. Not sure as I'm still waiting on bulk price from them!? Cheers, Sulio Was it ever an option from factory???????

Fat & Skinny
That spoiler was made by a friend. It's fibre glass. I have since replaced it with a Poly type. Still not sure whether to keep the new one black or go red again.

Save TopGear the BBC TV Program
67334, great show this one. I like the quirky tests they do. I like the way they shoot it also! I'm off to Malaysia in a few weeks, hope to find somebody that can sell me the series on DVD.

Wheels
Yer they are Watanabe wheels. Old school Japanese wheels. You can get them in various sizes to fit without flares. Just be prepared to fork out the mulla for them!

My new mesh light covers, pics inside.
I bought them from an Australian auto supply called RARE SPARES. They supply parts for various old Australian cars. From memory these ones were made for an old Holden but they are 7 inch diameter so easliy adapted to the Z.

I've been thinking about putting these on for quite some time now. I've seen them on a few MG's and I thought they looked quite racey and retro so I finally installed them. Not 100% sure they suit the Z but I'll leave on for a while, I'm pretty sure they'll stay. They clip off quite easliy for headlight cleaning but the clips were a pain to install.

Camara tricks
here you go if you like! That bin looks pretty ugly I was going to cut it out and get rid of some of the other imperfections.

attaching rear spoiler
I used that black silicone. I think it's called SICAFLEX from memory. Man that stuff is strong. It's never shown any sign of budging! No holes in the hatch.

Camara tricks
Not so much a trick but just some basic tips for those that want to take pics of thier Z at night, I've got an example below. Just use a tripod and set long camera exposure. I just used my little pocket Canon ixus5 digi cam for this pic, has'nt even got a zoom. Next to give it some punch open the image in Photoshop. Cut the car out onto a second layer and brighten it. You might need to increase saturation and play with contrast as lightening it might wash out colour. Next zoom in on the top layer and rub out all pixels that are not the car also rub out areas like window and tyres to get glass looking clear and tyres looking black. Good luck. Cheers, Sulio

A short video of a few Z cars
I had some extra footage from Ash's place, (user ZR240), the Z in the movie that is in pieces is part of his old car that was smashed. It originally was the car in the photo on his wall in the video but from memory he came off during a race and came to a stop on the grass then a few seconds later a porsche came off in the same spot and T-boned him so he's rebuilding the race car. I thought three cars was'nt enough so i included that footage. Fingers crossed during next meet there are heaps of Z's to make a good movie! Thanks Alfadog. Yer it's a real catch 22 hey! PrOxLaMuS©, I'm not a big fan of the look of that wing either but the owner assured me he noticed quite a difference when he removed it on track days, he's got himself a pretty quick Z there. I think he told me he was getting high 12's or low 13's 1/4 mile times.

A short video of a few Z cars
I've finally had a chance to have a go at using Adobe Premiere Pro to put together a short Z video of my car and a couple of others in Melbourne during a Z realted BBQ. I was busy on the BBQ and gave the camera to a friend. Unfortunatley he had a shaky hand and not much of an eye for composition but I managed to salvage some footage to put togther my first good try at video editing at home. Any tips welcome for the next one!??? I am hoping to do all the filming my self next time and use a nice run of winding cliff edge roads along the coast nearby. http://www.viczcar.com/v-web/gallery/displayimage.php?album=lastup&cat=0&pos=0

Maybe I'm too much of a purist, but...
ROH 3 piece custom wheels made here in Australia.

Maybe I'm too much of a purist, but...
I expected a lot worse. I reckon it looks ok. Some one mention a lack of focus or direction, I aggree those skinny wheels are'nt aggresive enough. The biggest issue is those wheels/tyres don't fill the flared guards. Funny thing is it's not that dissimilar from my car right down to the side stripe! and my car only the wheels tyres are quite a bit wider. Makes a huge difference I reckon!???

240z slot car!
Well I figured I'd just get the car and have a bit of fun with just that for now as I've moved into a new house a couple of months ago and the first priority is renovations and garage for the Z so it does'nt leave much room for a track. Does'nt matter though I will just have to grab the little Z and jump in the big Z and drive over to my friends place!

240z slot car!
The body is 1/32. The plan is to make it a copy of my real Z. Not sure about where to find or how to make the little front airdam and rear fin though!??? Chris, I'd be tempted to find a public track to take that car to!

240z slot car!
Yer the track my friends putting together is about 90% complete but he's actually fixed it so that the bottom of the track is the ceiling of his double garage and connected heavy duty electric motor which comes down when needed and wala the hidden track exposed. Actually quite cool!

240z slot car!
A friend at work has decided to build a slot car track in his garage. Over the past few weeks he's been showing me some of the cars and pics of the track. I thought it would be fun to build a car in 1/32 scale from scratch based on my real car. So eventually I found one on e-bay and I'm waiting for delivery. I've added a pic of the resin moulded car and a similar track that my friends building in his garage. Will post pics of the car when painted up in red with ZG flares, big wheels and rear fin.
