Dead,
Thanks guys, I'll check up on this fusable link, sounds like it could be the culprit seeing my vltmeter shows 11.5 V across the batt and also across the starter. Funny thing is does't even come close to starting, the little handbrake light does'nt even light up and with 11.5V I expect I should at least see that little light work. Cheers Thanx everybody

Dead,
I've recently had a problem with my car not starting. I mean nothing, like the battery is not even connected. I've checked the battery and it is fully charged however I tried to start it directly from the starter motor across a screw driver, nothing once aqain!? I've heard that these cars have problems with regulators and these symptoms point to it. Any comments? How does the regulator work and where is it? I've provided some pics below of where I think the problem might be!???????????

Styling.....Porsche Cayman, 350Z & the 240Z...your thoughts?
Will, I'm not a huge fan of the 350Z and a lot of people compare its looks to the audi TT, maybe they should have just called it 350 either way just wanted to get my point across without offending any 350Z owners. Well it does have more styling similar to the S30 than the 350Z has. VaGuS510, This is exactly my point. Looking at that Porsches window reminds me of the sort of styling the 350Z should have had and a long bonnet to match however all of this has been lost in the 350Z. However as far as Porsche go we've seen them try and deviate from their classic 911 design during the late 70's and 80's with cars like their 928S, 944 etc and they were a relative flop so a whole series of cars continued to have been based closely to the old 911 style, even the late boxster that saved Porsche from going down the toilet still has that old 911 shape. It would have been nice to see more S30 in the 350Z. I suppose they made a ballsy move with the last 300ZX and the progression of style was based on the evolution of that car.

Styling.....Porsche Cayman, 350Z & the 240Z...your thoughts?
I think you'll all agree the whole retro styling come back for car manufacturers has been big over the last few years. Cars like the new Mustang, Fords new GT40, and recently I've seen magazines showing off a retro concept Lamborghini Miura that looks kick arse. Well I was thinking about this in regards to the look of the 350Z even though it is a nice looking car it's a real shame the Japs did'nt go down the retro path on the 350Z. Perhaps there are issues with the apparent really bad aerodynamics in the S30 as I've recently read on a hybridZ thread but I'm sure they could have worked more closely around the original S30 styling. Having said all that I was admiring the lines on the new Porsche Cayman whilst on the freeway recently and noticed how close the cars rear end styling is to the old S30, take notice of the rear quarter window, the bump over the rear wheel and even the rear hatch glass.

Flares on eBay Australia
I have'nt had a chance to cut them yet. The fronts are easy but there's a bit more messing about with the rear to ensure that you retain the structural integrity that part of the car is responsible for. I find I can still drive the car but if I hit a bump in the road at higher speeds it rubs on the rear. I'll definatley be cutting the rears though and probably go lower with the car then. I think it's a totally different direction as far as looks for the Z go, very aggresive, but as long as your happy with the look hey who cares. Having said that I've also got a second 240 that is stock as a rock with fresh red 2 pak like my modified Z and that one is almost finished. Cheers Sulio

Flares on eBay Australia
I think drilling holes in the the body is the least of your worries guys. I've got some ZG flares on my car and I think if you want it to sit right at the rear you'll have to cut those rear quarters otherwise tyres will rub on the rear. The only other option is leave the car sitting relatively high on the rear and install heavy springs but I think that the car won't look as good as it potentially could.

At the railway crossing
Hi Alfadog, The unedited was a little darker on the car and there was quite a bit of red on the wheels from the red signal but I used it as a good op to learn abit about PS CS. Actually I did all the editing in the car whilst on a long drive heading out to a winery to watch a few bands under the stars in country Victoria. It was a 4hr drive with the GF driving so I pulled out the lap top and started PS going. My next move is to replace my 35mm film SLR with a new digital SLR for better pics as I've been using my little pocket Canon with a fixed little lense to take these photos. Cheers Sulio

CARPARK PICS
I thought I'd try find some more interesting locations for Z photo's, this one was at night at my local supermarkets basement carpark. Next will be a city carpark roof top with a great city scape behind it.

What club features do you like or want?
Hi Guys, Was'nt there a section covering 50 or 100 most popular gallery photos with hits to date on each gallery pic before? I really enjoyed being able to have a look at some of those as there was always a nice collection of Z's in there!??? I also agree with 7240Z about a section committed to rebuilding your Z engine. Basicallly in artical form that could be a series of sticky posts in the forums accompanied by photos of each stage and peoples opinions and experiences at each stage in forum format. I release this might be a bit of work but just a thought as I it would be useful and I'm sure would generate a lot of interest. Cheers Sulio
