Finally Got Em, My New Fat 3 Piece 17" Wheels
71ZZZZ, I use my Z for weekend street use. I am in the process of building an L28 for the car so one day I woulod like to have a bit of fun on the track with some friends. I based the offset on the 16" watanabes that so many people use with ZG flare set up, so I know they will clear the stock suspension. I'm not too concerned about performance and handling as I have a friend with similar size wheels thats a track car and it handles quite well. I will be doing the rear end disc conversion ASAP just to look the part. Sulio

Finally Got Em, My New Fat 3 Piece 17" Wheels
260DET I think I saw your car at Goulburn earlier this year for the Nationals but I was driving out of the car park with a trailer on track day and did'nt get a chance to pull up and check your car out but it did get me thinking that the ZG flared look is something rarely seen in Australia so here I go! Oh and they cost me AUD$1800 which converts to about USD$1350 I think for our US friends. Thanks David, I'm pretty sure the tyre combo I have chosen should look the part as I have looked at dozens of pics with different tyre sizes with this wheel size and have settled for the 255 at the back. I do not have coil overs but I based the offset on the Watanabes in 16" that suit "stock" suspension set up! I guess I'll find out later this week. Cheers Sulio

Finally Got Em, My New Fat 3 Piece 17" Wheels
After a 6 week wait I've finally got my new 17" ROH wheels. 8.5 inch -6 for the front and 9.5 inch -19 at rear to be mounted with 225 front and 255 at rear. Looking forward to picking up the freshly painted ZG flares this coming week to fit that rubber under. Hopefully they'll be on the car by next week! Sulio www.viczcar.com

240/260 window mechanism differences
I've had a hick up with the drivers door glass on my latest 240 project, door was dissasembled when I bought the car and theres a lot of spare parts that came with the car. Got it all back together easily enough but it looks like I might have used late 260 winding mechanism. Can anybody here tell me if there is a difference between the 240 and the later 260 2 seaters window winding mechanism seeing there is an apparent difference with the later model 260 2 seater doors? Thanks Sulio

Sticky? Used Parts Prices
I have RH 240 door. From memory no rust. Will take some pics and post. $350. Location Melbourne. On the doorskin issue, I bought a skin from Syd for $250 from memory, paid to get it fitted which brought the price up close to $450 and still not happy with the gap at the front but I've been told thats the risk you take with reproduction door skins. I'm not about to change the door as I've rust proofed it well and the car is finished. Just my luck I came across a RH door recently thats sitting in my garage as a spare. Sulio 0413 188 024

260z-240z rear light conversion
Yes once the bulbs were unplugged from the 260 lights they all plugged straight into the rear of the 240 lights. It was then just a matter of cutting a small section of the rear panel. Much prefer the 240 rear. Spent some time toying with the idea. If I had of known how easy it is to do I would have done it a long time ago. Cheers Sulio

260z-240z rear light conversion

Showus Yuh Wheels, Aussie!!
I had a set of locally manufactured superlites like Gav's and recently decided it was time to try some 17 inch wheels. Of course there was the limited availability issue so I decided on C5 copies with 45mm adaptors.

260z-240z rear light conversion
Did'nt like the 260 rear lights so I installed 240 lights. Easy process about 1 hour with minimal cutting.

COMPLETE
hehe, I've got those trailer wheels ready for ya Gav. In this photo I just placed the wheels in front of the car and took a photo. I did use photo shop to get rid of the sun light that was shown on top of the tyre. I will post pix with wheels mounted properly to adapters. Hopefully today! I've done all the measuring and I'm ordering 45mm thick adapters to suit +38 offset rim which would give me an offset of -6 for this set up.

17x7 PCD114.3 (offset -6mm) tyres 215x45
My new 17 inch wheels with temporarily made up adapters to determine what size adapters to order. 17x7 wheels PCD 114.3 with 38 offset, 215x45 tyres. The size of the adapters is 1.75" or 45mm front and back which turns this wheel onto a -6 offset of measured from the face of the adapter. Hope this helps anyone looking for wheel info!!!
