  1. The GM V8 on a Z have been done from day one, lots of info on transplant plus there are kits for engine/transmission/rear differential swap on shelves .
  2. ^^^ A modern engine transplant may or may not be a deterrent factor on value in an early Z , is a restomod clean early Z in the same league as a restomoded American Muscle Classic Car that at times commands more money than an original specimen . I ask.
  3. These are the type of Z's with a GM LS1/LS2 I am making a reference === are they worth more or less in comparison to a stock early Z in similar condition.
  4. ^^^ So a well documented/sorted/professional transplanted work on an early Z , where does it seats on Z current values.
  5. ^^^ What about a real clean early Z, it has to have a solid foundation in order to do such modification ( engine, transmission, rear end, brake upgrade/suspension etc ) , not a rust bucket .
  6. Like a TV episode , that is a GEM
  7. I ask to the well verse Z aficionados , I lately have seen some real clean early Z's with late LS1/LS2 GM engine transplant and ask , does this increase or decrease the value on this Japanese classic car .
  8. Thanks for the input, this Z is no longer on the radar, as mention above hunting for a done Z, the best tool is not to hurry.
  9. ^^^ He basically wants a done Z , he has the means to pay good money . Looks, performance and quality work a priority , he is open to some body mods but likes the stock look of the early Z. A clean cabin and A/C a critical factor.
  10. @Carl Beck. Good to know that a well verse Z person does not insult a well done Vette powered Z. The Z is a canvas that has high gallery pieces and flea market finds.
  11. Good observations made , interesting to know that this Z has been on both coasts Fla/Cal, please continue the opinions , they are making us to see a clear prospective , this forum is classy .
  12. I have seen some really nice LS1 conversion, almost perfect executed work and wonder if that will be a minus factor on a clean early Z .
  13. Will like to see the opinions from this forum for my step son , he is very interested on this Ebay listing > Datsun Z Series Z | eBay thanks in advance .
  14. ^^^^ UUPss typo horror << LOTS not lost >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
  15. You guys are true Z police, glad to be able to navigate this forum , lost of knowledge among well season Z owners.
  16. Very artistic pictures, no shots of the under car critical sections or the interior. Good to see values on the rise.
  17. Vintage race = vintage chicks , not at Summit Point WV, this was the May races main attraction
  18. @ Genghis, if that price point is your budget for a DD car to enjoy in the sun get a used Miata , Z's to be use as DD duty will be well above that figure and I believe that the wise folks here will agree that the S30 is a nostalgic TOY .
  19. @ Genghis . Honestly at that price point what kind of a semi/classic convertible conversion were you expecting . It is a TOY to play with. The seller did drop the asking price to 5,700.00 take the report as bargaining tool and see if you can get it for less , if this is what you want . IMO it is a conversation piece , a nice coffee and gas meet toy, if this Z were near me at that coin , it will be on my driveway.
  20. ^^^ I have been a lurker here before I actually made a membership in order to have access to the classified section , yes I see a few inflated egos here, there is an evident " in the clan group ".
  21. Nice Z, looks solid , more info , pictures and details on how the wife got it .
  22. The red Z was a no sale, Ebay at times makes no sense , here a clean specimen and no takers. The Z market is a complete puzzle .
  23. Here a BS replica, 2014 East Coast Spec510 meet at Summit Point WV
  24. @ Hardway , if the re admission fee was 10 G's , you did extremely well , ENJOY THE RIDE
