@7tooZ did you ever pick one of these? I'm in the same boat at the moment. Looking for some more stability in the car.

I’ve noticed that the Engine Coolant temp and the oil pressure read high at random intervals. If I come to a stop/idle the oil pressure can be up to 45psi, when driving around 35mph it can be up to 55mph. The water temp goes from being in the middle, to sitting on the right of the gauge. originally I thought the issue was a problem somewhere in the cooling system, or that the oil system had a blockage. (Briefly inspected to make sure it was not the source of problem) I was thinking perhaps this is a grounding issue, I’ve noticed that the voltmeter kinda waves and flutters 12v-13v. Has anyone seen an issue like this? Ive started tracking the car more, and really want to get it stable so I don’t have to be too worried about it on the track.
  4. +1 on the float levels
  5. I had a purple one as my first car. Nice cars i wonder how they handle as overland vehicles.

@Zed Head know what you mean there, I think that's also why I stopped reading it super frequently. I really like this comic https://pinkandblackcomic.tumblr.com I notice some similarities with Calvin/Pink from Calvin and Hobbes.

There is nothing more annoying than browsing a thread and seeing that someone else had a similar issue, and never finished off the thread.
  8. look like american racing vectors. https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=american+racing+vector&iax=images&ia=images
  9. @Clay C When you get some time i would take a read through these threads: https://forums.hybridz.org/topic/129706-t3-mustache-bar-in-early-470-240z-causing-r180-diff-to-move-back/ Just to get more ideas for potential solutions.
  10. I think you'll run into different style transmission mounts, based from what @Zed Head observed on Ace's website a different transmission position and from https://technotoytuning.com/nissan/240z/z-type-3-transmission-crossmember-l-series And possibly different sized outer tie rods, but thats for another thread.... Theres another picture on Ace's website that shows the underside. @Clay C did you happen to get the mustache bar from the 260z?
  11. I sent him an email and linked him to this thread, maybe he will join. I actually don't have much insight to this as i have later generation cars, I just wanted to drop the link.
  12. Hes some dude with a Z, http://ace240z.com/who.html I wonder if hes on this forum, i dont see anyone under Ace. He seems to be doing a lot of work on his car http://ace240z.com/current.html .
  13. clay take a look at this: http://ace240z.com/rt%20mount.html
  14. Is there a difference in the float needles when compared front to rear?

There was some guy that came to my door and was wanting to buy my Z (i dont really like when people do this personally) He wanted something he could tinker on, I could pass you his # if youd like. He was over in the East Bay Area.

you can get antibody tests for it, have you considered it?
  17. Both cars are very clean, what front spoilers are they running? They look to be the same? those wheels really fill in the gap, how much sidewall on those? 60mm?

Do most homes /parking lots have shaded areas to park cars? I would think it would be unbearable to get into a car unless it has tint/AC and probably a sunshade.

    Yikes! Sounds hot outside.
  21. Is there a way to do this on the car? I would think that making the points aligned and straight might be difficult without some type of jig. Maybe can insert a tube that is the same size as the drill bit between the 2 planes where you drill. Ive read of this modification on hybridZ..
  22. Its Wednesday, but i work from home, found this sick album
  23. 1. The fronts should be easier. 2. Spindle pins in the rear can be a gotcha, should look up some threads on that, and look into getting a removal tool to assist with it. if you use poly bushings on the tension control arm get a rubber bushing as a backing, sometimes they can be too stiff. control arm bushings are asymmetrical (there's a recent thread on this) inspect the control arms for cracking. Paint stuff while you're down there. 3. diff mounts would be nice, some use RT style mounts. I used the oem bushing, and the RT mount with a cone bushing to remove the OEM strap. 4. More vibrations from poly, although you cant find some of the OEM rubber bushings anymore..... I got the kit from Energy Suspension, you can find $20 dollar off coupons for AutoZone sometimes. 5. If your accountant lets you, i hear good things about the Koni Yellows. I use KYB struts, kinda wish i got the Koni yellows, i was a poor college student at the time. ha 6. I did not drop my subframe, i did one side at a time. I used a piece of wood to hold up the motor if i had it off the mounts. 7. My bushings looked OK, i did not remove them. I cant remember ? I really like the RT mount https://technoversions.com/DiffMountHome.html I cut off 0.5" off the tip of the poly mount, i think @Diseazd recommended it but i could be wrong.
  24. Might be off topic but, can issues/leaks with this system cause a higher idle at idle? When pull to a stop after driving around the idle is noticeably higher (1-200rpm), if i give the throttle a blip, the idle returns to normal. I've changed out the return springs thinking that was related but no change.
  25. Do you not need to run lock washers with those copper nuts?
