Hello all, I am a bit puzzled. Did anybody ever replace the capacitor thingy on a 76´ 280z fuel tank sending unit? Is there any replacement part? My whole sending unit it pristine, just the darn capacitor is completely rusted (guess it was in old petrol too long...) and there is virtually NO junkyard with parts here. Can I salvage an ebay unit for the capacitor? See image stolen from Hybridz for reference, need the small metal tube, everything else is in perfect condition

well, I now got steel mesh fuel line tube with 50 bar (725psi) burst pressure and 20 bar (290psi) operating pressure, ethanol and petrol resistant... If it blows up it blows up....

okay, good to know... the problem was that i need to do a SAE to DIN conversion since nobody uses SAE here, at least thats the impression I got. I now switched to LPG CNG hoses a store had from LPG conversions back there, should work, but I will hunt down proper hoses and use them. Thanks!

Hi, i know this was discussed often but I can´t find that aspect right now. The fuel lines are 5/16 or 8mm SAE 30R9. Problem is, I can only get SAE30R6 rates stuff (which still has 20 bar of pressure resistance though... so more than plenty since operating pressure is around 12bar) is there any reason why this shouldn´t work? I will use it around the tank mainly but want to also use it for the injectors (its 15mm OD so that may not be possible) thanks, Richard

Just FYI, good luck with asking Vogtland.... I called their factory or at least their main headquarters (which are in the vogtland area here in Germany btw) and they weren´t aware they are producing those springs.... I asked if I could buy directly from the factory and was told that they do not produce 280z springs at all O_o

I have found the Datsun Yellow 665 DN 114/71 or the Datsun Light Yellow 910 DN 103/72 paint code. It is a Paint , not a primer but from pictures looks a bit like the right color..can anybody confirm ?

I think cars with factory underbody protection didn´t receive anything but that primer.... Mine certainly came like this from factory, paper stickers over the threads were still in place and felt pen markings are there. Only leaves the color code. I will epoxy-primer the chassis and then paint in that color since I will only wax the chassis (better for humidity over the long time but more maintenance. We use Dinol for that btw

Hey, doesn´t look like a respray but who knows. Car has black underbody and underneath a primer/color. Engine bay is silver like the car. If it were an overspray we would find another color underneath, but thats not the case. Maybe this is just the primer and the car got underbody instead of silver color? (car is 306 silver) was stored 35 years, there are still the paint marks from the factory everywhere

Don´t have pics right now, but every overrider i saw, the fastening holes align with the length of the bar, mine has a 90° bend for the fastening only (e.g like the amco rack). Its surely not a 240 one. Btw, there is an Armrest with a stitched Z on it I can buy. Anybody knows where this might come from? found one, but seller also send me a wrong 2+2 driveshaft; I guess it might be a 77-78 one?

WAIT A MINUTE, so the "overrider" bar for my 76´ bumper thats not fitting is am AMCO guard!!!!! hahahaha thanks, I was wondering why it wasn´t aligning to anything. At least I think its one, missing the 2 eyes for the belts though

those wheels were stock in europe and maybe you are lucky finding a set here, but don´t get your hopes up. somebody has a CAD drawing? I made new caps for my turbines already
